Saint_clark Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Had we held onto our leads V Stoke and Spurs we'd have been 3 points behind United in fourth place right now.
bpsaint Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Everton have looked different class since they were knocked out of the Europa, makes me wonder whether it's worth the hassle next season or not?
Batman Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 good god, Mourinho playing with no Striker. Guess he will park the bus, Victorian style so to speak
MOSaint Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Everton have looked different class since they were knocked out of the Europa, makes me wonder whether it's worth the hassle next season or not? Good news. Spurs play Everton in the last game of the season, so we need them to be in good form.
lickierambert Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 I really shouldn't get annoyed but it does my nut in when Alan Smith said this Chelsea defence is the best in the league 'by quite a distance'. I mean that's literally not true is it Alan?
mcjwills Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Had we held onto our leads V Stoke and Spurs we'd have been 3 points behind United in fourth place right now. And if we won the games we lost we'd be top of the league ?
S-Clarke Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Any 'top' game which has Chelsea involved is an utter bore fest.
angelman Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Any 'top' game which has Chelsea involved is an utter bore fest. What do you mean? I fell asleep just before half time and woke up at 59mins. Did I miss something?
Dr Who? Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Any 'top' game which has Chelsea involved is an utter bore fest. They are boring their way to the title for sure.
S-Clarke Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 What do you mean? I fell asleep just before half time and woke up at 59mins. Did I miss something? Cesc's mask slipped a bit.
Batman Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 (edited) They are boring their way to the title for sure. I do laugh when chelsea fans and one or two presenters on say, Talksport champion Chelsea and how they will win the league with a net spend.. completely disregarding the £900m or what ever it was/is from Romans back pocket to get to where they are now chelsea are now a full on Mourinho side. Efficient with a smattering of flair now and then hazard will not get anywhere near world player of the year under mourinho Edited 26 April, 2015 by Batman
S-Clarke Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Chelsea had no intention of winning that game at any point. Their plan was to kill that game from the off.
SuperSAINT Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Chelsea had no intention of winning that game at any point. Their plan was to kill that game from the off. Which makes it all the funnier when Jose moans about teams doing the same to them.
angelman Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 Chelsea had no intention of winning that game at any point. Their plan was to kill that game from the off. Yup - as they didn't need to, they made sure that they didn't lose. Losing had to be avoided. So JM sees his 10 point lead against his closest rival maintained, while making sure that there is one less game to catch and over take him. What ever you say about the man, he takes a dispassionate view on how to win, and does it well.
Dr Who? Posted 26 April, 2015 Posted 26 April, 2015 So that ends the weekend of football. Pretty much as you were for us, Spurs and Liverpool.
S-Clarke Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Another bizarre Liverpool line up. Still can't work out what system they're playing or who is supposed to be where! Lallana and lambert wasted on the bench again. Can we have lambert back? Great squad player with be extra games and can end his career on a high rather than having his beloved Liverpool ignore him. What, do you mean that Brendan 'Tactical Genius' Rogers has got it wrong?!?!!?!? No. Never, he's the messiah for global football.
Saint_Tony Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Incredible how we are still in the race for fifth after our recent results. Still so much to play for. Anything but a win on saturday is unacceptable.
Twiggy Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Friend linked me 7/1 odds on Hull win tonight. Knew i should of wacked a fiver on.
Shroppie Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Ramirez is so frustrating. He has so much talent, yet couldn't fit into a Saints team and display it consistently, now can't even make the starting 11 for Hull. Can anyone at Saints make him click?

Twiggy Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 His set pieces are better than any we have here imo, from what I've seen this season anyway.
angelman Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 God those ex-Saints players were bad - Gaston being the worst.
S-Clarke Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Fair play Hull. Sunderland look in big, big trouble if they fail on Saturday. Sets the game up...!
S-Clarke Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 God those ex-Saints players were bad - Gaston being the worst. And still some people think he can do a job for us...!! The quicker he goes back to South America the better for all concerned
Lighthouse Posted 28 April, 2015 Author Posted 28 April, 2015 Wigan and Millwall are relegated. If only Liverpool had brought this mess to St Mary's in February.
Twiggy Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Spurs home to City next... This is getting silly now.
Saint_Ash Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Liverpool 2 games in hand and level on points with us. west brom and hull to play and only one point ahead now. We definitely have a good chance for 5th. Proper cocked up by Liverpool.
simo Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Liking the look of our goal difference. It's deserving of a 5th place team
angelman Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 And still some people think he can do a job for us...!! The quicker he goes back to South America the better for all concerned I thought he could, or rather, I hoped he could. Benefit of the doubt and all that, and a hope that he would come good. But no. Not suited to PL.
vince Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Liverpool posed no real threat at all to Hull. This loss will knock a bit of stuffing out of them and as others have pointed out, our goal difference is not one that will be overturned by either Spurs or Liverpool. Lets hope we have the better of a 4 game shoot out in us - there will be a few odd results in all the remaining games.
SO16_Saint Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 One game at a time, spurs v city should see a city win, and us v Sunderland should see a saints win. Can't remember who Liverpool are playing, but regardless, they look awful so could lose whoever it is. We could be sitting in 5th come the end of the next round of matches.

QPR at home this w/e for Liverpool.
simo Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 We play 18th 17th then 16th going to be massive games for all of them!
S-Clarke Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 We play 18th 17th then 16th going to be massive games for all of them! Yep, impossible to call.....I reckon we'll lose at least one of those, but at least we're not going to be playing sides who sit back with 10 behind the ball.
SO16_Saint Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 We play 18th 17th then 16th going to be massive games for all of them! If we weren't involved in the games, looking in from afar you'd say that was 9 Points for the team sitting in 6/7 position going into that run.
SO16_Saint Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 QPR at home this w/e for Liverpool. Thanks, so not easy for Liverpool but you'd expect them to luck up at least a point even considering their woeful performances.
John Boy Saint Posted 28 April, 2015 Posted 28 April, 2015 Yep, impossible to call.....I reckon we'll lose at least one of those, but at least we're not going to be playing sides who sit back with 10 behind the ball. Good job we got the Chelsea games out of the way early then:D
