St Landrew Posted 31 December, 2008 Posted 31 December, 2008 We may have forgotten it, but some Saints fans have already started celebrating 2009. In NZ, the time has already come and gone. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7805974.stm And in an hour or so, the first parts of Australia will be welcoming in the New Year.
St Landrew Posted 31 December, 2008 Author Posted 31 December, 2008 I see Australia's fireworks were a tad louder than in NZ: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7806209.stm

St Landrew Posted 31 December, 2008 Author Posted 31 December, 2008 (edited) 2008 crap 2009 probably crap And I thought I was miserable..? I've just spent the entire Christmas period with the flu, 'cause I responded to an emergency IT problem, on the 24th, at a company which has an air conditioning system that breeds viruses. All the bloody special little extras are still waiting to be eaten; the Xmas puddings, the mince pies, the f**king goose, which is still in the fridge waiting to be cooked; and only now am I starting to feel a tad better. Bit f**king late now. Crap f**king Christmas I've had. Well I've started on the whisky, so I don't care anymore. Edited 31 December, 2008 by St Landrew

swastika eyes Posted 31 December, 2008 Posted 31 December, 2008 Not really a Happy New Year for those in the Gaza strip being systematically murdered by Israel whilst the world stands by and watches. No other Country in the World would be able to get away with it but because the Jews virtually run the United States there is a deafening silence.

Ladies and Gentlemen, May I present to you, GEORGE GALLOWAY. Whiskers Milk all round for midnight.

It's not really a Happy New Year for anyone who is friendless, in poverty, ill or dying, or having to come to terms with the death of a loved one, or loved ones. But let's not make rash political points on this forum. If you want to have a serious debate about the Israel and Palestine conflict, then go to the Lounge. Not here, thanks.
