Unfortunately Basingstoke Town and (I'll wash my mouth out) Havant & W failed in their bid to get out of the Conference South, so a bit of a duff weekend for Ampshoire sides all round,

On a side note Basingstoke losing cost our stag do party accy to lose 48k imagine having to go all the way to f-ing Sunderland watching that AND then finding one goal short of that much money! Awful footballing weekend all round!

They actually played at the old Wembley in 2000, in the Carlsberg Pub Cup final against Earl Soham Victoria. It's pretty hard to find much record of the game, but I know they did because I was there! They've come a long way since then.

And on the same night Solent Stars played at Wembley Arena. Great day out. Eastleigh lost 2-1 Ricky Fernandez scored for Eastleigh.
