eddie Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 For your reading pleasure: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/12885178._/?ref=mac I'm sure some of you have read this on the echo this morning but interesting nonetheless. Supposedly Koeman had a go at the players at HT. I always find it refreshing how much koeman has a real grasp/insight on the game. I mean today his comments about us playing like we didn't have any confidence and him not recognising our style of play....put into words exactly what I was thinking when I watched the game. And always good to see he's able to command respect of players and give them a hiding when they need it
Monkou Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 Agree. He is also refreshingly honest in front of the cameras. If we have played crap he will say so. Very few managers do that.
Bearsy Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 I enjoyed the first half of the article better than the second, which seemed less original and a bit "old news"
Redslo Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 I enjoyed the first half of the article better than the second, which seemed less original and a bit "old news" I liked the second half better because new things scare me. I like familiar things.
Bearsy Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 Yeah tbf I just read it for the 2nd/4th time, and I found it v.comforting, like slipping into an old girfriend, or hearing the Libertines on the Radio

I suppose we should be getting used to that.
John Boy Saint Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 You know, not long from now the Echo will notice what they have done and we will just look stupid. I suppose we should be getting used to that. No danger of that Tales from The Bear will distract us suitably enough. Still good to see that there will be a distinct lack of suntan cream and deck chairs on the pitch for the next 6 games.

And always good to see he's able to command respect of players and give them a hiding when they need it I said the other day that maybe Ron had lost his way with some of the players. Instead, maybe he is beginning to lose just a little patience with some of them, though if his problem against Hull was (he mentions them) Morgan and Toby, I think it's possibly more a lack of interest now, than nerves, although he did also mention Pelle. sadoldgit Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 Is it Ron losing his way with some players, or some players losing their focus?
Graffito Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 Is it Ron losing his way with some players, or some players losing their focus? 7 matches from the finishing line and Europe the prize. It was nerves.
sadoldgit Posted 13 April, 2015 Share Posted 13 April, 2015 This is the difference between successful teams and those that bottle it. Time for the squad to man up and see the job through!
