I agree he's not very mobile but nobody's giving him the ball to feet and when they do he has no support from Mane or Long. He's had to drop very deep into almost a centre forward role rather than leading the line just to get the ball to feet. As said before. I believe we are far more dangerous when long and mane are up the middle Cloggers like hull have must relish playing against Pelle right now

Agree on Ward-Prowse at HT - more attacking player as well. Fark that, push Mane into the middle and bring on Elia or Tadic on the left. Its sunny again maybe Tadic will start to play better again

And hopefully we can kick on and get an early goal, come out of the blocks all guns blazing. If we want to finish 5th or 6th which if we're serious about Europe we need to, we need to win this game. If we don't then I really fear we will peter out like last season and trudge in 7th with a gap between below and above.

The whole team seems disjointed though. Long has worked hard but his touch has been poor. Would be happy to see both Steve Davis and Long replaced at half time. Tadic on the left and JWP replacing Davis. As expected, the Ref has given us nothing though.

I have no idea what our offensive strategy is. Tadic and JWP in. Pelle and Davis out. Wanyama being played today was a bad choice, especially knowing that Friend was officiating. Hull has gotten the ball in our penalty box a little too much for my liking. All it takes is one weird deflection in a crowd and this game is over. That being said, I can't say the back 4 have played badly, but really no offensive threat on either wings in the first half.
Chez Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Painful to watch that first half. Outplayed and beaten to almost everything by a very average Hull side. We have been woeful. Davis has had a mare and Long has shown exactly why he only scores 4 or 5 goals a season. He is so average it's not true. Collectively we need to improve big style, go behind and I just don't see us able to unlock a side right now.

Tadic can beat any defender off his dribble. Betrand and Mane didn't hook up once. Bertrand needs to make more runs forward, since Clyne isn't playing. The left side is the key on this match and both players there have been poor. Put Mane in the middle and bring Tadic on for Davis.

A fit Clyne must always play right back. Mane should never play left. He operates better in as a no. 10. The system is a mess. Sort it out!!!
