SAINTS V Hull - Match Thread

We are playing a very poor side

Long, Pelle and Davis have been very bad

Not really sure Long and Pelle have done anything too wrong, Pelle's not had any service to feet so has to try and win everything in the air against Dawson and Long has been ok so far.

Pelle does not move. Barely wins the ball when played up to him. He occupies space and is pretty poor in it

Dawson's always been good in the air though, and he's been all over Pelle. I agree he's not very mobile but nobody's giving him the ball to feet and when they do he has no support from Mane or Long. He's had to drop very deep into almost a centre forward role rather than leading the line just to get the ball to feet.

Really don't know why we played Wanyama. We could have done with more attacking his this one, but away to stoke and home to Spurs without him? That seemed a daft risk. Morgan, JWP and Davis would have been absolutely fine for this game.

Agree with you. It was always going to happen. All we need now is Morgan to get sent off or injured

Pelle hasn't been the worst...I actually think he's given some of the best balls up to long and mane. Davies and Toby haven't been great....Yoshida plays the ball back / to the side ALL THE FREAKING TIME

Really think we need someone with a lot of creativity/attacking mindedness on....not just pace. Pace is fine but hull arne't playing a high line and we need people who can make cutting passes and open up defence
