Saint Garrett Posted 8 April, 2015 Posted 8 April, 2015 (edited) Who's going then,. Think I might. £3 or £5 with a beer (or soft drink) Hopefully get 5k there for this. Nothing better to do on a Monday night. Anyone who can should get down there IMO. 20th April btw Edited 8 April, 2015 by Saint Garrett added date
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 8 April, 2015 Posted 8 April, 2015 The fact it is on Sky will harm attendance. First leg is at Ewood Park and not on Sky. I'm heading to that. Pitch doesn't look great though...
The Cat Posted 8 April, 2015 Posted 8 April, 2015 I'll probably go. Missed pretty much all the youth games at St Mary's this season due to them often clashing with my nippers's football training on a Thursday.
John Boy Saint Posted 8 April, 2015 Posted 8 April, 2015 Bugger just realised I have something else on that day into the evening......that's a shame:cry::cry:
SO16_Saint Posted 8 April, 2015 Posted 8 April, 2015 Why are saints charging for this, yet the away leg is free entry
Saint86 Posted 9 April, 2015 Posted 9 April, 2015 Do we get "Uber fan" status for going? Great to see the u21's going this far. Didn't Williams say that the current crop below the first team were very average when he left. And that he couldn't see where the next star would come from? Well, we managed to beat Everton 3-0 with 7(?) U21's in the squad and now we're in the U21 cup final; so can't be all that bad!
bpsaint Posted 9 April, 2015 Posted 9 April, 2015 Quite surprised saints haven't just offered free entry to all season ticket holders and £3 to everyone else, I'm sure they'd have made enough from food and drink to cover staff costs. I'll still head down to watch though,be nice to see us lift a trophy regardless of what it is.
Bad Wolf Posted 9 April, 2015 Posted 9 April, 2015 3 quid for a cup final and 2 for a pint isn't to be sniffed at. Especially since I'm only a 15 minute walk away from St Mary's. I'll be there.
Saint Garrett Posted 19 April, 2015 Author Posted 19 April, 2015 Who is going then? Heard we've sold about 8,000 tickets so far, pretty good effort. No got mine yet, I'm assuming we can just pay on the gate?
fanimal Posted 19 April, 2015 Posted 19 April, 2015 Got mine in Block 46 of the Northam now, must be working their way around from the Itchen. Which means on the night can walk further along and take a seat behind the goal in 44 or 45 as this must be where all the walk up fans will be put into. Should have printed at home rather than collected though by the sound of it!

simo Posted 19 April, 2015 Posted 19 April, 2015 I hope so as that's what I'm doing. Can't see them turning people away from an U21 game. Im hoping to do the same
angelman Posted 19 April, 2015 Posted 19 April, 2015 I'm prob going to try and make it, thus will have to buy on the gate.
Nidger Posted 19 April, 2015 Posted 19 April, 2015 Trying to buy my tickets online atm Are blocks 45 - 48 in the Northam Stand for home fans for this game then? This is normally where the away fans sit
Saint Garrett Posted 19 April, 2015 Author Posted 19 April, 2015 I did notice it says Away Supporters on the website. I assumed that this was actually just home and they cannot change the wording.
Matthew Le God Posted 19 April, 2015 Posted 19 April, 2015 Trying to buy my tickets online atm Are blocks 45 - 48 in the Northam Stand for home fans for this game then? This is normally where the away fans sit There is no segregation for this game.
nta786 Posted 19 April, 2015 Posted 19 April, 2015 I probably should've bought the tickets earlier, but just bought 3! I've never sat in the 'away end' at St Mary's not that there is one anyway lol.
SFCRedandWhite Posted 19 April, 2015 Posted 19 April, 2015 The record attendance for an under 21's match stands at about 10,000, would be nice to beat that! From the sounds of stuff on the Saints twitter they're just filling up the Northam from now on - would be nice to get a bit of an atmosphere if a few more blocks sell out
trousers Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Matt Le Tissier @mattletiss7 Lookin 4ward to covering the u21 pl cup final for sky down at st marys tonight, 0-0 from the 1st leg, whos gonna be there #COYR Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport By Saturday #saintsfc had sold over 7,000 tickets for tonight's U21 PL Cup Final 2nd leg - great effort by fans. Could be 10,000 by kick-off Should be a great atmosphere this evening. Really looking forward to this.
Matthew Le God Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC 1h1 hour ago More than 9,500 fans have now secured seats for tonight's #U21PLCup final! Book online and Print@Home. #saintsfc
Yoshi Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 A few thousand more and we will out do some of Pompey's home attendances this year.
The Cat Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Bound to be a good walk up. Nice day, cheap tickets, no Champions League on TV....
Bourno Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Just heard form my son that his headmistress handed out 150 tickets t school today - no way that they are all going to be used - wonder if they have done that elsewhere - and included these in the 9,500 ticket sales?
SFCRedandWhite Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Just heard form my son that his headmistress handed out 150 tickets t school today - no way that they are all going to be used - wonder if they have done that elsewhere - and included these in the 9,500 ticket sales? yep, quite a few tickets were given to schools for free. Its the reason some sections of blocks were already unavailable when they first went on sale. Also have a feeling block 1 was given out as that never went on sale
Bad Wolf Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Leaving now. Quite excited about this...A cup final's a cup final! COYR!!!
The Cat Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Very busy outside the ground. Massive queues for tickets.
suewhistle Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Looks like the mobile networks are coping! I was going to go but a bit too much on to get over. Can't see my local pub showing this!
SuperMikey Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Anyone found a stream for this? Being shown on SS1 so they should be around, but I can't seem to find any...
trousers Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Anyone found a stream for this? Being shown on SS1 so they should be around, but I can't seem to find any... Type 'cricfree sky sports 1' into google and you'll be sorted

SuperMikey Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 That Nyambe for them does look very good, looks like a taller stronger version of Clyne. From the 5 minutes we've seen so far that is!
igsey Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Looking pretty even so far. Fantastic 40 yard pass from Reed to McQueen in space just now.
SuperMikey Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Ball nearly scrambled across the line by Seager, looks like it's going to be quite end-to-end this one.
whelk Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 whispering Phil Neville on co-commentary. Getting World Cup flashbacks
Yuki Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Hesketh looking very good. Its Neil Mellor on comms.
LGTL Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Shame this kicked off so early otherwise I'd have gone. Why don't they start at 7.45?
SuperMikey Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Shame this kicked off so early otherwise I'd have gone. Why don't they start at 7.45? Bed time is at 10pm sharp, the club are very strict about this kind of thing
Beckenham Saint Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Looking better than the first team at the minute! ;-) Hesketh is very sharp, first touch and ball control reminds me of Lallana and Reed, although looking quiet tonight, is one of our most exciting players. Think they're playing extremely well so far and it's great to see the stadium so full!
nta786 Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 Reminds me of our first team a bit! So much possession just no goals yet! No worries yet though, I'm sure we'll get them soon! Reed is a class above, and as said above, brilliant for them to showcase their abilities tonight.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 20 April, 2015 Posted 20 April, 2015 I liked it but it was a little dangerous. Dangerous but Blackburn were kicking lumps out of us at Ewood Park so this is a little bit of payback.
