scotty Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 This just popped up on the sickipedia random 5 jokes, might be an omen? I typed 'Hell' instead of 'Hull' into my Sat-Nav. I still got there.
tpbury Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 I'm a bit down about this. I'd rather lose 2-3 than a 0-0 draw. Just want a couple of goals ffs!
SNSUN Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Typical Saints this game, plenty of possession, some missed golden chances, but we'll still limp to a 2 nil win. Long and Morgan to score. Kelvin won't have much to do. No disrespect to Hull but our back 6 should keep them quiet, just hope the front 4 play well. I'd love us to do a Sunderland...
Batman Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 (edited) odd selection ah well.come on saints #SaintsFC team vs @HullCity: K. Davis, Alderweireld, Fonte ©, Yoshida, Bertrand, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Mané, Long, Pellè. #SaintsFC substitutes vs @HullCity: Gazzaniga (GK), Clyne, Tadić, Ward-Prowse, Elia, Reed, Targett. Edited 11 April, 2015 by Batman
Batman Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 3 at the back and Clyne dropped then dunno, reckon Toby at RB
simo Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 3 at the back and Clyne dropped then Or he's got a knock and Toby is playing Rb
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Interesting team, looks like a back 3 with the 2 DMs in front, more than one way to offset your need to be solid at the back I guess...
Batman Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Interesting team, looks like a back 3 with the 2 DMs in front, more than one way to offset your need to be solid at the back I guess... if it is a back 3, who is playing wide right then? mane maybe? that would be putting our best attacker further away from goal
Window Cleaner Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 if it is a back 3, who is playing wide right then? mane maybe? that would be putting our best attacker further away from goal Davis of course.
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Or Alderweireld at RB as some have said above. No obvious RWB in the team (Davis possibly but not really his position), so could be.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 I would have thought it'll be Yoshida or Toby at RB but we'll see.
simo Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 if it is a back 3, who is playing wide right then? mane maybe? that would be putting our best attacker further away from goal If Clyne is fit I can't see him not starting , Unless he was late?
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Won't know til they line up, would be very surprised if Koeman has stuck with 2 DMs if he doesn't have something planned tactically. I see Hull are starting with Aluko and N'Doye, which suggests they may be a bit more attacking than usual...
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Naff ! Pelle again joke ..... He's played all but 1 match, get over it.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Naff ! Pelle again joke ..... What good would dropping him do? We have no one to play in his place.
Batman Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 What good would dropping him do? We have no one to play in his place. long and mane for a start I think pelle will score and play well today
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Penalty to Swansea Yeah, daft handball by Coleman, who was probably shoved first.
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 What good would dropping him do? We have no one to play in his place. Much as I don't think he should be dropped, we do have the opportunity to play Long/Mané up top in a different style if needs must, and today would have been one of those opportunities. But if you're not picking your leading scorer at home to a bottom 6 team you have other problems.
captainchris Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 What good would dropping him do? We have no one to play in his place. We're you on Mars for the Chelsea game?
trousers Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Naff ! Pelle again joke ..... Said the poster who wrote off Fonte because he had a poor run of form in the Championship
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 long and mane for a start I think pelle will score and play well today They're not like for like, and they are playing anyway so they couldn't replace him, would have to be a different formation. I agree, he'll score again soon.
CityRanger Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Clyne has not been great lately. Toby will give us some good delivery from that right hand side, lots of diagonal balls I reckon.
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 They're not like for like, and they are playing anyway so they couldn't replace him, would have to be a different formation. I agree, he'll score again soon. Not like for like, but if (and it's not confirmed) we play 3 at the back we've already changed formation.
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Clyne has not been great lately. Toby will give us some good delivery from that right hand side, lots of diagonal balls I reckon. I don't think he'll get forward much, probably designed to shut down their left sided overlap.
Pastor Patrón Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Fuk Clyne, him and Schneiderlin both won't be focused on the job at hand. Clynes not good enough to be undroppable like Schneiderlin so it's a good move. Its half the reason we tapered off so much last year because half of them knew they wouldn't be here next season
trousers Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 @bigadamsport Am informed Hull are abandoning their 5-3-2 & are playing 4-4-1-1....although Bruce has named 4 centre-backs in his team #saintsfc #HCAFC
The9 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Mm, I can't say I think Schneiderlin has been anything other than completely professional.
trousers Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 @southamptonfc Koeman on changes: "It's about freshness. I spoke to @Nathaniel_Clyne yesterday. It's just a rest for the player." #saintsfc Koeman: "I was very happy how @MayaYoshida3 came back from #AC2015 and we know @AlderweireldTob can play at right-back." #saintsfc
Batman Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 to be fair, clyne has not been so good lately. For club and country
Pastor Patrón Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Mm, I can't say I think Schneiderlin has been anything other than completely professional. Except gobbing off to the press every other week fishing for a move. He's a great player but a complete tosser. He's not here out of professionalism it's because we told him he's staying, he got in a strop and wouldn't train for a week or two remember? Koeman had to put him back in his place and remind him he wouldn't get international football in the reserves
Saint Garrett Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Toby will play RB in my opinion. 4-3-3 with Mane and Long either side of Pelle.
trousers Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Toby will play RB in my opinion. 4-3-3 with Mane and Long either side of Pelle. Yep, Koeman has confirmed this set up
trousers Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Can't see us winning this. Yep, looks like a 0-0 to me
kermitsaint Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Another 1 nil loss to a long range shot to the near post . Koeman will then claim we were the better team because we had more possession yet had no shots at all . Will claim we were unlucky . Then many posters will abuse the rest for complaining because we've had a decent season and that Saints are still awesome ignoring how clueless they seem now . Sound about right ?
trousers Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Swansea game ends in a draw. Get a win today and we're pretty much out of sight of 8th.
patred44 Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Kelvin and Steve Harper.. combined age nearly 80. Must be a PL record
Leicestersaint Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Not particularly confident about this - at least Reed is on the bench and can come on. Our attacking line looks limited I'm afraid - cue another 8-0.
Alwightmush Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Not particularly confident about this - at least Reed is on the bench and can come on. Our attacking line looks limited I'm afraid - cue another 8-0. But Reed is a defensive player?
Leicestersaint Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 But Reed is a defensive player? Two different points - Reed gives us energy and increases the pace of things - I am a big fan - the attacking options are limited - Tadic could come on but there's no Seager which is a shame. Hopefully Pelle will start performing again today.
Hamilton Saint Posted 11 April, 2015 Posted 11 April, 2015 Saints Player starts four minutes before KO. Nice!
