Saint Charlie Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 No **** Sherlock. Exactly. Thats why despite the oppos seeming poor we don't beat them all.
opthomps Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 It's a match that we can still win, but I'm prepared for the disappointment of defeat and 45 minutes of being slowly tortured by the poisonous kiss of hope. Pretty accurate. This second half has been dreadful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BotleySaint Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 We look worse with Pelle on the pitch basically. He needs to be dropped for a few games so we can open things up more up front.
Leicestersaint Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 We're starting to look a bit like headless chickens.
Saint Charlie Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Pelle attempt, was a great attempt and a great save.
Batman Posted 4 April, 2015 Author Posted 4 April, 2015 I honestly believe we are better when Pelle does not play.
BotleySaint Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Tactically we play the same every week. I don't understand why Koeman can't see it isn't working and hasn't been working for some time...
Mallagroth Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 I've defended the guy all season but overall pelle is championship standard at best, sad for him.
DT Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 I honestly believe we are better when Pelle does not play. He is very poor at the moment
Sheaf Saint Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 We look worse with Pelle on the pitch basically. He needs to be dropped for a few games so we can open things up more up front. Yep. He's been a total waste of space again today. I fail to see why Koeman keeps persisting with him.
Batman Posted 4 April, 2015 Author Posted 4 April, 2015 Yep. He's been a total waste of space again today. I fail to see why Koeman keeps persisting with him. the system with mane and long up the middle looks way more dangerous. Long probably wins more in the air than pelle anyway
Stepgar Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Whole team looked poor today - slow, no confidence, couldnt pass wtater
Sheaf Saint Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 We hardly ever win at Goodison, chaps Yeah let's just chalk it up to superstition then shall we? Whatever results we may have had there in the past should have no bearing whatsoever. Apart from the short period before we conceded we were utter turd today.
Jonnyboy Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Yep. He's been a total waste of space again today. I fail to see why Koeman keeps persisting with him. Yet scores for Italy. Very f*cked off now.
maxi_sopez Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 I like Pelle, but he is rubbish. Abysmal again today. Very hard to win games if we play 1 upfront with him. ah well. Should beat Hull. Need to bring in a top striker in the summer. Go big on Berahino?
hackedoff Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Hopefully this will be addressed in the Summer, Koeman is aware of our issues. Was he not aware of these issues in January ? Woeful in front of goal today YET AGAIN !
geoffnut Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Yes Pelle is useless and should be dropped but who do have that can score goals? Some serious buying at the end of the season I think.
Plastic Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Total shît from start to finish. Dull long ball rubbish and very poor link up play.
Katalinic Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Poor result and performance - we just look so disjointed going forward. Pelle lumbering, Clyne can't seem to beat the first man with his crossing, we just didn't look like scoring.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 We're not very good at corners are we? When did we last score from a corner that wasn't an own goal?
Window Cleaner Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 We hardly ever win at Goodison, chaps And sides with Lennon in never fail to beat us...but that's purely academic. If we had a striker we'd probably overturn all those strange facts.
trousers Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 When did we last score from a corner that wasn't an own goal? January 1987?
Mallagroth Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 As the season is all but over I'd like to see our young strikers given a crack at the first team
Window Cleaner Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 When did we last score from a corner that wasn't an own goal? Toby, sometime around Christmas I think. Sides give away corners against us with no real qualms as to the end result.
DT Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Yeah let's just chalk it up to superstition then shall we? Whatever results we may have had there in the past should have no bearing whatsoever. Apart from the short period before we conceded we were utter turd today. Wow. A philosopher.
USA SaintsFan Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Our first couple moves up the field were basicly our best of the whole game. Sums it up really.
LeBizzier69 Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Not surprised really by the result really, although how the challenge on Mane in the box (69 mins ish) wasn't a pen I have no idea, regardless of whether the ball was going out or not. Blatant shoulder charge. Anywhere else on the pitch its a free kick. Last point, I don't think I've seen many players dive and fall over as much as Naismith. Did it at SMS this season, and looked like he was brought on to do the same today. Hardly in the spirit of most Scots I'd say. Girl.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 That was painful to watch. When did we become so sh*t? The number of misplace passes was shocking, as were our corners. Whole team were meh today
Mallagroth Posted 4 April, 2015 Posted 4 April, 2015 Toby, sometime around Christmas I think. Sides give away corners against us with no real qualms as to the end result. They do the same with possession. We are only good on the rare counter attack and often these go to waste. Players aren't making off the ball runs like in the first half of the season, there's no one to play the ball too and defenders aren't being pulled out of position. It's been obvious for weeks now but that hasn't been addressed which is making me question what it is we're working on in training. I feel like I've been watching nearly the same football match for weeks now, it's the most predictable we have ever been since league 1.
