ART Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 As a Saints fan I believe Prowsey deserves some recognition for being selected as Captain of the England Under 21 Team and leading his side to beating Germany by scoring the winning goal. 3 times England fought back from being a goal down with a tremendous fighting spirit inspired by our man. Too often we are quick to criticise but slow to show credit where it's due. Folk forget what James has achieved for a 20 year old and write him off. He brings pride to his country but also to his club, Southampton Football Club and it's Academy. Well done James. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/567375/England-U21-Germany-U21-match-report-James-Ward-Prowse-late-winner http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/567375/England-U21-Germany-U21-match-report-James-Ward-Prowse-late-winner http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/mar/30/england-under-21-germany-friendly-match-report http://www.thefa.com/news/england/under-21/2015/mar/james-ward-prowse-reaction-germany-300315 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3018670/England-21s-3-2-Germany-21s-James-Ward-Prowse-completes-battling-comeback.html http://www.caughtoffside.com/2015/03/30/video-james-ward-prowse-goal-for-england-u21s-v-germany-win-could-give-real-lift/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcUpooCQHkg

Deano6 Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 That German striker - coooey, yes please! That German keeper - coooey, no thanks! Well played JWP...similar to the Palace goal, without the keeper bothering to spill it this time. Thanks for the link ART!

Batman Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 Had a liverpool player scored the winner and captained the u21s. The media would be in chubbing off all day about it
doggface Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 I would take Jenkinson if clyne leaves, good potential. I think Clyne will be tough to replace.
CityRanger Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 We may be able to do some business for Jenkinson with Arsenal this summer? German striker Hoffman big guy and very sharp, scored both there goals have him. Also Will Hughes is good every time I see him, would be nice to get some English players as we're getting a bit overrun by the foreign lads. Bearsy Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 I would be ok with tying Jenkinson into the Schneiderlin deal. That would lesson the pain a smidgen, and also, annoy Hammers fans

Been saying sign him up for a couple of years now. If Derby miss out on promotion then I think he would be well worth chasing.

Bearsy Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 I like Hughes too, but he was in the papers rated at... £15m And for that reason, I'm out

The German keeper, that will be the one who plays for Barcelona and saved the penalty against Man City. Looks like he expected Prowsey to put his shot across the goal and was wrong footed.
