Window Cleaner Posted 27 March, 2015 Share Posted 27 March, 2015 I just hope hes only sold because our valuation is met and that being £25M with £20m upfront. We won't get 25 milion for Morgan, 20 is about it.
CityRanger Posted 27 March, 2015 Share Posted 27 March, 2015 Morgan was taking the safe option with passes, nerves probably. This is why he's looking for Champions League football. Playing a higher level like that will take him on another level.

Leicestersaint Posted 27 March, 2015 Share Posted 27 March, 2015 It will be a huge blow if he does go - and a direct result of our disastrous February - he will be incredibly difficult to replace at the same level.

Only if you believe Morgan would stay if saints made the CL.........which I highly doubt.
SNSUN Posted 27 March, 2015 Share Posted 27 March, 2015 Only if you believe Morgan would stay if saints made the CL.........which I highly doubt. It's probably a question of whether we got automatic Champions League or had to go via the qualifiers. If Morgan's aim really is to play in the CL, risking staying and potentially us going out in the qualifiers and ending up in the Europa may not be what he's looking for. Then he'd be cup tied for any other club. Not that I think we have a chance of CL any more. 5th is the highest we can hope for IMO and I still think we'll end up 7th. Which is ok. sammysaint Posted 27 March, 2015 Share Posted 27 March, 2015 World class player IMO, he is too good for us unless we become a regular top 4/5 team.

Nothing to do with February, gentleman's agreement last summer, he is off whatever and fair play to him.
doddisalegend Posted 29 March, 2015 Share Posted 29 March, 2015 (edited) Well if the BBC gossip is to be believed it isn't Morgan that Arsenal are interested in.... Arsenal are keen to sign Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama, 23, and Anderlecht's Serbia international striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, 20, for a combined fee of £30m mind you have to take this gossip stuff with a pinch of salt Liverpool's England right-back Glen Johnson, 30, could move to Barcelona on a free transfer. Edited 29 March, 2015 by doddisalegend

The above is just making crap up and wasting ink on it to titilate an ever seeking public. Lunchtime O'Booze is the journalist in question no doubt. Anyway looks as if Morgan might be starting again this evening, off down there now.

Pilchards Posted 30 March, 2015 Share Posted 30 March, 2015 Regarding Morgan wanting to leave, don't you think it's pathetic that Saints have been showing us video's of our last success, Five years ago a JPT winners medal. IMHO Morgan could have 3 Wembley finals, 20 Champions league matches and perhaps a Premiership title medal around his neck in the next five years. Oh, plus an extra few million in the bank. Window Cleaner Posted 30 March, 2015 Share Posted 30 March, 2015 Played well last night, must be about 45:55 with Cabaye for the regular starters spot now.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 30 March, 2015 Share Posted 30 March, 2015 We won't get 25 milion for Morgan, 20 is about it. This is eerily similar to last years "we won't get £20m for any of our players" prediction. Hope you are as right on this one
Junior Mullet Posted 30 March, 2015 Share Posted 30 March, 2015 I think Morgan will make a great manager one day. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him back in that capacity 15 years from now.
david in sweden Posted 31 March, 2015 Share Posted 31 March, 2015 Do we know if Boca Juniors have any money? The crazy bastard seems to be doing ok for them - would be great to sell this summer and get the wages off the books as well. you know, you're the first to mention that ... but, if they offer 3 tons of Llama hair in exchange... what do we do then?
