Ladies and Gentlemen, have been playing with KODI this afternoon as we had no game on, and found out you can get TSN1 to TSN5 sports channels in Canada. here is how you do it

System, File manager, add Source, type http://metalkettle.x10.bz/ call it .metalkettle OK

System add-ons, install from zip file, .metalkettle, repository.metalkettle-1.4.3.zip

Get addon, Metalkettle addon repo , video addon .AAA Live TV

Satrt up AAA live TV and update it, go to Live sport section, HD Sky & world sport section and click down until you get to TSN 1 720 HD c on your keypad and click the second down add to favourites button, repeat for all TSN stations

Go to the star button on the front page and all the channels will be there on the left hand panel.

These do not need a VPN or DNS to work

This is Windows 8 we are talking about?

Kodi is an open source media player, free download that'll work on just about anything as far as I aware. Although no expert but I've got it up and working on my Windows 8 machine as well as 2 Raspberry Pi with a little help from Google.....

Do you have Kodi installed on your computer.

Nope. I gathered I needed that but it's bits like these;

Get addon, Metalkettle addon repo , video addon .AAA Live TV

That looks like it could be as little as 2 or as many as 5 different add ons to me. Confused.

Each step has a comma after it so it's go to get addon then press enter. At the next page scroll down to metalkettle addon repository press enter and wait for it to be installed. Then go back up to video addon and scroll down to .AAA LIVE TV press enter and choose the install option. Wait for the addon to load and be enabled and there you are ready to go. If in doubt and you want video assistance go to http://www.xbmcandkodi.com

Open a new text document in Notepad, copy the streams as presented in my post and save e.g. as TSN Channels.m3u8

Attention to use All Files in Notepad when you save.

Now open in VLC or SimpleTV

There are Youtube videos and sites showing how to create playlists

They do serve beer and nosh at the local pub and with absolutely no buffering whatsoever. Having used dozens of so-called "brilliant" live streaming sites to watch Saints in recent years, it is usually a waste of time and a real test of patience as buffering ruins pretty much every webcast including I might add the BT Sport games for which we pay a subscription so it's not just the freebies. Don't even bother now. High speed BB seems to make little difference. OK we live in the sticks and not the centre of town but from what I hear it isn't much different there.

Need instructions for Apple Yosemite too please.

Go fiber at 40 meg and you have no problem. The additional cost for fiber with all the deals around makes it a no brainer for the advantages. This could be offset if it works by dropping the sports package if you have one.

I've been using Xbmc on my Andriod phone, Windows laptop and Raspberry Pi for a while and there have been some pretty good add-ins, namely Mashup and NaviX. They work for a while and in the end they're just unreliable. I tend to go back to http://www.eplsite.com for my Prem action. I tried adding this add-in as per post 1 above and again it seemed to work for the Saints game yesterday but was so unreliable for the Man Utd game.

But I've added these streams from post 20 above into my VLC player and they seem promising. Looking forward to trying those link when a game is on.

I just opened up VLC player, chose View - playlist - Media Library - Advanced Open - Network - Enter URL and Enqueue .

Thanks ..... Using Kodi, is there a way that these streams be downloaded to hard drive to watch later?

I am a bit suspicious of these "Free" gizmos, I wonder IF or how much spyware comes with it??

Kodi seems to be on the level in that it's basically opensource, which is something I can't say for the current hive of spyware which is my streaming app on my tablet... but as it's the easiest interface and the most consistent stream finder I tend to keep it despite all the pop-ups in the tray. I've found my v13 XBMC add-ons getting less and less successful at actually tracking down streams over the past few months. I suspect it may be to do with the streams linking to sites blocked by my ISP thanks to the government's over-active copyright blocking legislation, which I don't recall anyone actually voting for.

There are add-ons for football which can be used as a database of matches to watch pretty much anything in full retrospectively, not sure if any of them allow for downloading but as long as you can get to that, why would you need to keep it?
