Tony Fernandes is an awful owner - so out of his depth. A lot of this is Redknapps fault, he created a mess of a side full of - once again - overpaid 'has beens' in the hope they would gel and work together. They didn't, he had no answers, so he jumped to leave Ramsey with the mess. As much as Fernandes is a bit of a fool, Redknapp was a disaster for them in every single way. Seems to make a habit of leaving clubs in a mess which take years to fix.

Lord Duckhunter Posted 14 March, 2015 Share Posted 14 March, 2015 Yep, the only exception being Spurs really. He was a poor manager for us and relegation was a massive blow , but the finances weren't really down to him . Luckily Rupes kept twitchys hands out of the till. Bucks Saint Posted 14 March, 2015 Share Posted 14 March, 2015 Yep, the only exception being Spurs really. Where he inherited a team that was actually pretty chock full of decent players. Yes he did his usual flurry of transfer deals and landed some other good players, and the team performed, but the base situation was one which many managers would have loved. S-Clarke Posted 14 March, 2015 Share Posted 14 March, 2015 Sunderland is rotten to the core. Poyet, Bruce, O'Neil aren't all bad managers, yet all have been/are being pushed out of that place. They need to go down, strip the squad apart, and start from scratch with a fresh faced young manager. If they keep just about surviving they will continue to ruin managers careers. Poisoned challace there are so poor people at that club above the first team. I remember Poyet moaning about them in the summer with some such rant. There scouting appears poor. Brown and O'shea as CBs...really? is that the best the scouts can come up with for the squad? so many bang average players at the team. Bad Wolf Posted 14 March, 2015 Share Posted 14 March, 2015 Sunderland player gone missing, they played the first few minutes with 10 men, Poyett didn't know where he was and took ages to work it out. ART Posted 14 March, 2015 Share Posted 14 March, 2015 Can remember a few years ago when many of the lot on here were singing Poyet's praises and saying he was the genius behind the Wise=Poyet management team. Someone's just posted on the Arsenal-West Ham game a photo of Sam Allardyce in his playing days which gives you younger ones something to worry about. S-Clarke Posted 14 March, 2015 Share Posted 14 March, 2015 City weren't ''bad'', they just lacked the urgency at the start and it allowed Burnley to get their foothold. Then they were simply playing against 2 banks of 4 and that was that.
