Much maligned on this site, but I like the fella. Good attitude, never a problem wherever he's asked to play, head doesn't go down brings in the occasional Japanese cutie. He'd have to do something bloody spectacular to make the banner, but he's one of my favourites at Saints.

Good interview that. Think I have always liked him more than most fans. So glad he got a new deal and well deserved for being excellent cover this season.

you have obviously canvassed opinion of 'most' fans then, or is just the 0.03% on here?

but many of his performances in the past were not very good.

Been discussed in past but he is often dodgy when has odd game. When gets a run he is far more solid, A very good CB cover really and happy to be here.

Hindsight is wonderful. Plenty of people, me included, said he was decent and did his best but made a few too many mistakes. These did cost goals and some occurred when he had a run in the team (before this season). At the start of this season he made a couple more mistakes, but absolutely agree he has come on a long way, has cut out most of the errors and looks a much more solid player. Well done Maya and RK no doubt

He is a very lean ectomorph and is conditioned for endurance speed and agility. 80kg BP is not much for a weightlifting enthusiast no, but this is a professional footballer.

centre halves also need strength and power, I expected him to be nearer the 100kg mark to be honest.
