Manager of the Year

Yesterday in TalkSport Durham was banging on about Mark Hughes as manager of the year but no mention whatsoever for our Ron. Surely he must be in the running?

Of course, but Durham is paid to get people to phone in, usually irate and challenge his views. He knows what sort of reaction he'd get by nominating Mark Hughes. I like him but sometimes you can sense his attempts at being divisive for the sake of it a la his strange obsession with Arsenal

If we get into Europe (either CL or EL) then I'd expect Koeman to get the accolade

Apart from his usual attempts to to be a WUM, did he actually present an argument as to why he thinks Hughes deserves it ?

Beachcombers is right ... Durham knows that would be a controversial suggestion so runs with it to get listeners engaged and calling in.

No way would Mark Hughes be manager of the year. Koeman could be, if he takes us to Nirvana.

I listened for a bit but as he wasn't at that point making a case and as he hadn't included other more worthy candidates I put a CD on instead.
