sadoldgit Posted 13 March, 2015 Posted 13 March, 2015 Love this. Perhaps you should change your username to Nappies though
Saint-Armstrong Posted 13 March, 2015 Posted 13 March, 2015 José Mourinho was asked about being mocked and people laughing at Chelsea's elimination today. I have posted his reply below. Mourinho: "Envy is the biggest tribute the shadows can give to the man."

Mourinho: "Envy is the biggest tribute the shadows can give to the man." So would it put him off his stride if we arranged for "The Shadows" tribute band ("The Saddoes") who play in my local every 4th Sunday to be at Stamford Bridge tomoz and serenade him with a song about envy when he gets off the coach tomorrow?

redder freak Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Saints don't envy Chelsea getting eliminated. No tribute there.
whelk Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Interesting for those that study formations. Chelsea most consistent. We have tried 5 apparently http://gu.com/p/46tk6/stw
tpbury Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 SaintsWeb preview: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/content.php?591-PREVIEW-Chelsea-vs-SAINTS-Barclays-Premier-League Good work, I like these! If only there was a button..............
bazza Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 "How fit do you think Eva Carneiro is?" She is lovely! Strangely I really fancy us tomorrow & stuck a tenner on us to win 2-1.
Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 I'm really looking forward to this one, I'd take a draw but feel there is the potential for something special to happen! I'm in corporate at the Bridge tomorrow with a couple of customers (one Chelsea and one Saints) so will have to be on my best behaviour!

We have tried 5 apparently http://gu.com/p/46tk6/stw Thanks, that was interesting. I'm trying to remember if our formation changes were a consequence of injuries, or tactics...
hasper57saint Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 She is lovely! Strangely I really fancy us tomorrow & stuck a tenner on us to win 2-1. What odds did you get?
hasper57saint Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Just read an interesting article in the METRO by Chris Rann who says Mike Dean has to be strong tomorrow against the Chelsea 'bully boys'.
mitch01 Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Eliza's out according to his Instagram. Not the best way to announce that surely.
mitch01 Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Eliza's out according to his Instagram. Not the best way to announce that surely. *Elia, obviously
VectisSaint Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Thanks, that was interesting. I'm trying to remember if our formation changes were a consequence of injuries, or tactics... I'm puzzled about our stats though. There have been arguments on here one at least one occassion about whether we were playing 3-5-2 or 5-3-2, yet neither appears in the stats as a formation that Ron has used. 3-4-3 and 5-4-1 apparently have been used, I guess one of the ones where we argued about 352/532 must have been one of these according to the stattos.
LGTL Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Trains a ballache tomorrow, one direct an hour from Southampton and taking over 2 hours.
simo Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Trains a ballache tomorrow, one direct an hour from Southampton and taking over 2 hours. Sundays have became a bit of a nightmare lately, took me 10.5 hours to get to hartlepool a few weeks ago!
Mattio Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Trains a ballache tomorrow, one direct an hour from Southampton and taking over 2 hours. On the subject of trains, which train are most people getting from SOU tomorrow?
Pastor Patrón Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Eliza's out according to his Instagram. Not the best way to announce that surely. Any chance Djuricic is injured as well?
the_emu Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 So I'm probably going to get slayed for saying this but i'm thinking we should take a risk this game and start with Reed ahead of Wanyama - give Reed one simple instruction ..... wear Hazard in your pocket. Just think Vic is a bit of a mismatch for this game. Appreciate we will lose much needed height and strength for defensive set pieces, but think nullifying Hazard is key.

You're right, you will get slayed. You're considering taking Wanyama, who has been one of our most consistent players and arguably our best player off for Reed- and to mark Hazard?! Wanyama is what Matic is to Chelsea- vital and we need him.
dannysfc Posted 14 March, 2015 Posted 14 March, 2015 Would love it if we can do what we did at Man U and win 1-0 again but will probably be 3-1 Chelsea but Come On Saints.....!!! COYR!!!
Saint_Tony Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Just got a feeling this will be 0-0, which will be a decent result.
Faz Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 I'll be happy if we score I'll be happy if they don't
St.JonB Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Any chance Djuricic is injured as well? I've heard he's out with a repetitive strain injury after throwing himself to the ground too often....
musesaint Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 I've heard he's out with a repetitive strain injury after throwing himself to the ground too often.... Give him time. He's gonna be very good Who knows...he might score today and become the latest zero to hero on this board
cellone Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Give him time. He's gonna be very good Who knows...he might score today and become the latest zero to hero on this board Nah write him off with rib cracking jokes. Then spend the rest of the day stroking your ego over how witty you are.
EBS1980 Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 I'd go Forster Clyne Toby Fonte Bertrand Big Vic Morgan Davis JWP Mane Pelle
St.JonB Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Give him time. He's gonna be very good Who knows...he might score today and become the latest zero to hero on this board Yeah I hope so. He does need to stop diving though as it's embarrassing and refs will not give him anything.
St.JonB Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Nah write him off with rib cracking jokes. Then spend the rest of the day stroking your ego over how witty you are. It's not about my ego its about a player throwing himself to the ground at every opportunity. As you say though it's early days and hopefully he would have been advised.
Asaint4ever Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Is Toby fit for today? If so who's gonna be dropped? Il be upset to see maya dropped as he's been class.
Jonnyboy Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Is it just me or this season have the refs been less keen to give pens, especially if there's a whiff of diving? They also seem very reluctant to give ones for handball...
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 I'd go Forster Clyne Toby Fonte Bertrand Big Vic Morgan Davis JWP Mane Pelle Either this or swap JWP for one of Tadic or Djuricic.
sandwichsaint Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 I'd go Forster Clyne Toby Fonte Bertrand Big Vic Morgan Davis JWP Mane Pelle Either this or swap JWP for one of Tadic or Djuricic. TBF Man U away was about JWP's best performance of the season, I'd be inclined to play him in this one, leave either/both of Tadic and Djuricic for the last 15 minutes when it's still 0-0 and we're looking to knick it. 0-1 to the mighty Saints (pen in the 83rd minute, no idea who will take it though!)

True. The only other option could be to leave Yoshida at the back and play Toby in the middle: --------------Forster--------------- Clyne---Fonte---Yoshida---Bertrand -------Wanyama--Toby-------------- -------------Morgan--------------- Davis-------Pelle-----------Mane
captainchris Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Come on guys lets give Pelle a rest and run at them!

Batman Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Take our BEST defender and put him in midfield surely not
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 Take our BEST defender and put him in midfield surely not It's unlikely anyway, but it's not as if he's been playing, and Yoshida has been good recently.
Batman Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 It's unlikely anyway' date=' but it's not as if he's been playing, and Yoshida has been good recently.[/quote'] and toby is miles better. If he is fully fit, he has to play
S-Clarke Posted 15 March, 2015 Posted 15 March, 2015 The PL is not really a place for sentiment. The reality is Toby is better than Yoshida and will play. Yoshda has been good, but Toby is still in a different league.
