teedee38 Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 Its got to be 4 - 5 - 1 Mane or Long up on their own in front of the big stripy bus
Window Cleaner Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 Its got to be 4 - 5 - 1 Mane or Long up on their own in front of the big stripy bus An attempt to "park the bus" against Chelsea must be considered as a reasonably stupid thing to do because they have players who can always unlock such situations. They have a tough game tomorrow night, we can hope for a few walking wounded on Sunday.
Barry the Badger Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 The really shocking thing about that pitch invasion was how utterly tinpot it was. QF win, FFS. Embarrassing. I dunno man, I've watched Villa 3 times on TV this year and they've been SO bad. I can imagine having to watch that every other weekend for 3 years and then getting to Wembley I might get a bit overexcited

nta786 Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 I'm no tactical genius but when city played at Stamford Bridge earlier this season, they played really well in a 442 formation. Do you think this is something we should go for? Mind you, we don't possess the stars lime Aguero and Silva... Forster Clyne Fonte Toby Bertrand Elia Morgan Victor Mane Pelle Long Bench: Davis, Yoshida, Gardos, JWP, Tadic, Davis, Djuricic However, maybe this is too attacking and it might be easier to park the bus.

I'd agree with playing more attackingly, no point in parking the bus, they'll break us down eventually, lets at least give it a go, we drew last match, no reason we can't do at least that again.
Batman Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 LOL Di Maria sent off for 2 yellows. Fair play to the ref Oliver.
hypochondriac Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 LOL Di Maria sent off for 2 yellows. Fair play to the ref Oliver. He has been excellent.
lickierambert Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 LOL Di Maria sent off for 2 yellows. Fair play to the ref Oliver. A few casualties from this game-Ox, Di Maria and Shaw
Batman Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 He has been excellent. Danny Murphy initially being prat and saying that it was a harsh sending off as Di Maria only lightly grabbed his shirt.
Batman Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 The standard of diving by United players is terrible
Batman Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 (edited) No doubt LvG will get off lightly again. De Gea again has been their star performer Arsenal show-in for the final. Liverpool have a much tougher route. Edited 9 March, 2015 by Batman
S-Clarke Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 Where the hell would they be if they had a Dodgy keeper to compliment the rest of their dodgy team? They've never really played well and once they start playing the bigger sides, it will come back to bite them. As we've seen. The next few weeks for them are huge, and us I might add.
Saint_Tony Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 Yes there's no way they deserve a top 4 spot, think it will be Arsenal and Liverpool. Van Gaal getting away without too much criticism because of his reputation. Don't they have Spurs and Liverpool in their next two games?

SuperMikey Posted 9 March, 2015 Posted 9 March, 2015 Spurs, Liverpool, City and Chelsea in their next 5. Very much looking forward to seeing them get severely tonked in the next few games. Van Gaal will lose the plot more and more as we sneak up on the blindside..

Won't begrudge Van Gaal beating the yids, and taking a point off Liverpool though.
the_emu Posted 10 March, 2015 Posted 10 March, 2015 Some bore score draws and a few more suspensions please
Saint Garrett Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Anyone seen the trains for Sunday. 1 hr 40 from Basingstoke!
SuperMikey Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Anyone seen the trains for Sunday. 1 hr 40 from Basingstoke! But on the bright side it'll take you longer to get back to Basingstoke after the game, so there's a silver lining to that cloud
Jack Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Trains are out of the question for Everton away too. Engineering work is closing Euston completely so the cheapest I could find was £110 return. Scandalous. You can fly for £120.

Lots of v.interesting tactical analysis. wow. http://bearsyinvestigates.blogspot.com/2015/03/scouting-report-chelsea-fc.html A callous, arrogant, vulgar, rascist and wasteful club Chelski are, yet according to recent disclosures they are the only PL club paying it's low paid staff a living wage. Strange world.

John Boy Saint Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Mike Dean on the whistle for the game, be interesting to see how he fairs.
oldsarum Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 3 hours from Salisbury going up via Southampton and Guildford But 2hrs 20mins going back via Paddington, Reading and Basingstoke hope its worth the hastle Having to drive up to Everton as too expensive on train plus takes nearly 6hrs coming back
trousers Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Chelsea Team to play PSG: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry ©, Azpilicueta; Fabregas, Matic; Ramires, Oscar, Hazard; Diego Costa.
saint lard Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Chelsea look very mediocre. Tonight.....long may it continue. Unfortunately so do we. Here's hoping for extra time anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
S-Clarke Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Chelsea are a good side, but by my reckoning they're going through their ''spell'' at the moment. All teams have them at some point during the season, so this is probably as good time as ever to face them.
Saint Charlie Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Fabregas and Hazard are the ones you have to deal with. Let them link up and they will boss you and they are very, very good because they can create every time those guys are on the ball.
Sour Mash Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Chelsea have been pretty poor for months. They'll seriously look to bounce back against us though.
Supersubpuckett Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 if chelsea go out tonight then jose will be looking for a big response at the weekend.....at our expense. They will tear our defence apart.
Whitey Grandad Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 if chelsea go out tonight then jose will be looking for a big response at the weekend.....at our expense. They will tear our defence apart. ...and out they go ? A tremendous performance by PSG, down to 10 men for 90 minutes.
simo Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Can you see them playing that bad Sunday ? I hope so!
SaintSteve Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Chelsea have been pretty poor for months. They'll seriously look to bounce back against us though. So the Premier League is poor then... PSG have better technical players than Chelsea, especially in midfield. For sure, Schneiderlin would never get in their team; Cabaye is on the bench and he's different class.
davefoggy Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 ****ing brilliant!!!!! What a shambles and bunch of cheats Chelsea are. Best time to play them, 3 points are ours Sunday

Whitey Grandad Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 ****ing brilliant!!!!! What a shambles and bunch of cheats Chelsea are. Best time to play them, 3 points are ours Sunday Souness agrees with you. He's just had a right go at Chelsea for all their dirty tactics. Very refreshing to hear.

saint lard Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 It's all set for them to batter us at the weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SaintSteve Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 Looks ominous for Sunday listening to Mourinho.. some achievement if we get a result now.
Wiggles31 Posted 11 March, 2015 Posted 11 March, 2015 They were pathetic in that and what a perfect way for them to lose. One of the most average teams to win the title. Set up deep and hit them on the break. They seem to struggle when teams sit deep not to dissimilar to the way we do.
