Down to 7th as it stands.

We were never going to keep up with the big sides. Seventh is the position that we need to try to hold onto.

We've been poor lately. Really shot ourselves in the foot with stupid results like the Swansea match. 7th is inevitable but there's still a chunk of the season to go!

4 home games left, all winnable, Spurs is our Cup final imo; 6 away , forget two of them, other 4 we probably will have more opportunities so we could win 8 out of 10 24 more points 73 in total.

Don't bring be me good generals, bring me lucky ones. Both Rogers and Poch have had some really lucky wins earlier in the season that sustained them... And now they've hit form. Here's hoping we can turn it round.

We could get a result at Chelsea - the great disappointment is the bad run we have just had - just 4 points out of Swansea, QPR, West Ham, Liverpool, WBA. If we had taken the 11 points I anticipated look where we would be!

park the bus

5 at the back, 3 midfield and Mane and Long up front to hit them on the break with pace

ove to hear Jose moaning about our tactics rather than praising us for an open game which we lose

great scenes at Villa

Unless you're the BBC commentary team who think it is "utterly disgraceful and ruins the occasion". FFS. You think these people have never had a beer and let their hair down in their life, ever, nor do they have any empathy for how these fans feel at going to Wembley after god knows how many years.

"This has ruined Tim's big day". He's won 2 derbies in the space of a few days, got a Wembley FA cup semi final to look forward to, got a bit of confidence back in the team that might turn their season around and keep them up. But no, his day has been ruined by a few ****ed up fans starting a pitch invasion 1 minute early. I don't know how he'll cope with the trauma of it all

There'll be repercussions.

it does make me laugh when a club gets punished for stuff like this. What on earth can a few hundred stewards do when 10k fans want to go on the pitch

Nothing, they're powerless. I think that's why the authorities are so worried about it.

Worst buildup ever? That's true.

Forster

Clyne Fonte Aldereiweld Yoshida Bertrand

Wanyama Schneiderlin

Tadic Mane Long

Pelle, Djuricic, Elia, Davis, Davis, Ward-Prowse, Targett

That's a hell of a park-the-bus team.

I like it.

Lol. I'd like to see Djuricic in that team though. Partly because I like typing his name.

Stitch up in favour of the big 6. We should have had 2 pens against Liverpool, and QPR should've had 2 penalties against Spurs.

Yep. QPR deserved at least a point from the game today.

Yes. I hate to be paranoid, but the number of dodgy decisions in favour of the big 6 is getting beyond a ****ing joke.

Ok, let's go all in, 7-3-0:

Two parked buses. Try going through that Hazard. rasp.gif

I see parts of the media are saying the scenes at Villa yesterday afternoon were like a 'return to the dark ages'..."a scene from the 80s and an absolute disgrace'

best one....'someone could have been killed'

Some of the reaction is beyond the pale. I've just read a gloriously hysterical article 'Football returns to the dark ages' , 1000 words about how disgusting it all was then in closing come out with this little gem 'many fans were on there in celebration but this is besides the point' - so not a return to the dark ages at all then.

'Like a scene from the 80s'

Couldn't tell the difference myself

They were only invading to bite the players as a release for their aggressive rage. Jonathon Pearce is a total plank.

Most thought it funny

Poor as Pelle's been recently, this is not the game to drop him. Wouldn't be against starting Long on the left though, like he was earlier in the season.

Isn't that exactly the point? You can't stop it physically if it's that many, so the only way is to stop people risking it. What is the best way? Punishing the club. If points deductions were the result, or playing games behind closed doors, I doubt you'd get big groups of fans risking it.

when was the last points deduction in the UK for this?

Villa will get a warning and fined £100k or something.......

I'd like to see them try to get a points deduction dished out for an incident at a FA Cup match.

I don't remember the hand-wringing "this is shameful" disgust when Saints fans got on the pitch live on BBC1 after the Coventry promotion game.

Would you like me to calculate the effects of this non-existent point deduction on the number of points needed to avoid relegation this year?

Only if it includes the lowest position we can still qualify for Europe, if Villa get to the final and win, or lose against Man U, Arsenal or Liverpool

This is wasted genius until a Chelsea fan reads it and takes it seriously ! Someone make this happen!

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

PS. Not me, I'm too scared.

+1 I haven't had a death threat since Norwich :( Waste Of Time :(
