trousers Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 So, with none of the teams around us playing each other they will all fancy their chances of a win tonight. Stating the obvious but we could do with one or two upsets to capitalise on our win yesterday.... Come on Leicester, Newcastle, QPR, Swansea and Burnley!
S-Clarke Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 They won't all win, I don't think. There will be a surprise somewhere along the lines, possible either QPR or Newcastle in my book. Should be a good night's viewing whatever happens.
saintwbu Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Definitely don't think any of those games a definite wins for our rivals. Burnley have caused City, Chelsea and United problems away from home, picking up points in two of those three, so Liverpool won't have an easy game.
Whitey Grandad Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Chelsea have a difficult game but I don't think we're going to catch them. Chelsea win would suit me. Liverpool are due a bad game but they're at home and it only needs one refereeing blunder to see them clear. A Burnley win would be too much to hope for. Tottenham are also at home but Swansea are going well and I wouldn't want them to catch us - a draw would be good. Arsenal's game is not a gimmee. It all depends on whether the QPR players are up for it - could go either way. Man Utd have been fluking wins so it's time they got their come-uppance. Stoke & Everton could draw, please.
shurlock Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Tonight is made for an accy as an emotional hedge.
Dr Who? Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 (edited) Spurs to slip up! Also if they continue to, we might just get that 6th spot! Liverpool will win easy. QPR will face the Arsenal backlash from not turning up in Europe and Man U will scrape a win against a terrible Newcastle side. Spurs might draw! Edited 4 March, 2015 by Dr Who?
TheCholulaKid Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Tonight is made for an accy as an emotional hedge. Yep. Already done - starting with a win for us last night. Quite happy to lose my fiver if it means someone else has slipped up.
richard Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 I fully expect them all to win sadly. I expect they'll be happy if they win.
VectisSaint Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Most likely "upsets" would be Wet Sham and Swansea. Swansea are able to beat Top 7 teams apparently. Of course Chelsea losing is not really any benefit for us, but I think I would be happy to see Swansea draw or win, the gap between them and us would still be effectively 7 points if they win.
Saint_Tony Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 You'd expect one to slip up, think Utd. will drop points tonight. I've noticed they are playing Spurs next, I know we have Chelsea but a positive result would (somehow) put us right back in the mix.
trousers Posted 4 March, 2015 Author Posted 4 March, 2015 What does Lawro predict? Man City v Leicester 3-0 Newcastle v Man Utd 1-1 QPR v Arsenal 0-2 Stoke v Everton 2-1 Tottenham v Swansea 2-1 West Ham v Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool v Burnley 2-0
Bad Wolf Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 I'd love Burnley to get a result. I think we all would. And Swansea and Newcastle.
SNSUN Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 All the bigger sides in those ties will do their jobs tonight, but if there are any slip ups at all I think it could be Newcastle and Swansea to get points. I'd love Burnley to get something for obvious reasons but can't see it.

I'd love Burnley to get something for obvious reasons but can't see it. I suppose Ings won't want to damage his future club's prospects of CL football next season.
Window Cleaner Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Kompany dropped for City. He was pretty useless against Liverpool tbh, a shadow of his usual self.
James Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Spurs 1 up already. They're going to be tough to stop.
Dr Who? Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 But the player is now moving, seemed to have some kind of fit!
Dr Who? Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Sorry, was a Swansea player Substitution, Swansea City. Nélson Oliveira replaces Bafétimbi Gomis because of an injury.
saint_roffa Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Bafétimbi Gomis apparently has had this problem before.
SuperMikey Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Chelsea 1-0 up on Wet Sham, poor marking in the middle and Hazard nipped in to score a header. Watching this one as a bit of a scouting mission - Hammers caused them some troubles going forward at times..
trousers Posted 4 March, 2015 Author Posted 4 March, 2015 Stoke 1 Everton 0 Everton for relegation anyone...?
SNSUN Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Stoke 1 Everton 0 Everton for relegation anyone...? They say you're never too good to go down, but IMO Everton are as close to that as any. They've got too much quality to go down, and there's enough crud at the bottom of the league to shield them even if they do slip. You never can tell though. The biggest concern for Everton fans is losing their bigger players in the summer, especially if they don't win the Europa and finish low in the Prem.
trousers Posted 4 March, 2015 Author Posted 4 March, 2015 Table as it stands: 3 points off 3rd with 10 games to go. Would take that at full time.
trousers Posted 4 March, 2015 Author Posted 4 March, 2015 Spurs 3 Swansea 1 QPR 0 Arsenal 1 Liverpool 2 Burnley 0 W**k
trousers Posted 4 March, 2015 Author Posted 4 March, 2015 Just need Man Utd to score now for a full house.....
Saint Charlie Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 The big teams win these games and pretty much will win most until the end of the season.
Saints foreva Posted 4 March, 2015 Posted 4 March, 2015 Spurs and Liverpool were never going to slip up tonight. Arsenal just wasted a great chance to go 2 up.
