This is actually a serious request, it's with regards to being paid a bonus. If, for the last 4 years, you have been paid a % of a company profit bonus (you are not part of any other bonus scheme) and all of a sudden it is not paid (despite others receiving it) with no explanation and upon querying it being told that the boss had no knowledge that this was taking place (despite him being sent the payroll templates) is this right ?? It's not written into a contract and there has never been anything formal to say this is happening does this not set a precedent of it being paid ??

Hmmm, that sounds pretty complex in general, I think you need a proper lawyer. The fact you have nothing written into your contract though won't help, and sounds less official and more discretionary than normal.

May want to try somewhere like here first to see if it is wrong in principle http://www.askalawyer.co.uk

Whitey covers it - custom and potential discrimination.

The company dont seem to be handling it particularly well. If they were erroneously paying you this bonus, they should at the very least honour this year's payment and stop it going forward.
