Attacking coach?

Most do not have the technique to keep the ball down

So you pay someone £20k a week and they still can't shoot properly?

Thats not right surely?

I teach full time martial arts and I have one person who could not use her left leg at all.

Three months later she is in the GB squad, if I can why can't they teach them how to kick a bloody football in the direction of a net?

Early in the season it appeared as if our players were taking more shots from distance than they did under the prior manager. Were they ignoring instructions then? Or are they ignoring them now? Or have the instructions changed? Or is this not actually the problem?

If your not very good at shooting from range then effectively you just give the ball back to an opposition happy to just try to stop us playing. Unfortunately we arent very good at shooting, and so it may be the case that they are being asked to be more conservative. Realistically long shots at this level need to be very good though. For me its the full bavks not being on form recently and the wide men coming inside as opposed to trying to get behind.

I think Koeman might have changed settings from direct to short passing and from attacking to defensive minded. He probably needs to go to mixed setting and try and bring in a couple of players with 15+ rating for long shots in the summer.

where have you been for the 40years, we have many players who are paid high salaries and could not shoot to save their lives.Frannie started as a forward and ended up with only 1 goal after hundreds of games, and he is only one

I challenge you to name some from attacking midfield to strikers.

Off the top of my head Rideout, Le Tiss, Horne, Shearer, Beattie, Wallace, Ormerod, Clarke, Case, Williams and Armstrong to name a few would hit a bloody good shot that would more than likely hit the target than sky it.

Wanyama, Mane (except QPR) Pelle, Morgan, Tadic, Davis and Elia are skiers, always blast it over or wide time and time again.

If you are having trouble scoring from open play you would think the coaches would work doubly hard on free kick and corner routines. It's another way to score a goal and it doesn't just have to be a forward that scores. They may be but I haven't seen much sign of it.

Even the best teams use this as a get out - take Chelsea at the week end. They are playing sh*t and Terry scores from a cross from a free kick. The forwards relax and Costa scores in the second half.
