jawillwill Posted 1 March, 2015 Posted 1 March, 2015 Almost laughable from the 3rd minute onwards from West Brom. Should probably take it as a sign of respect, but has any team ever been so keen to slow the play down against Southampton, whilst playing at home - particularly in the 1st half? Unbelievable that they only got one booking for it really.
SaintAndyB Posted 1 March, 2015 Posted 1 March, 2015 Disgraceful time wasting although I can't help but thinking to myself that we are all using this as an excuse when in reality Saints were utter ****e yesteday- end of.
Sour Mash Posted 1 March, 2015 Posted 1 March, 2015 Absolute joke ref, time wasting the whole game and only 4mins added on at the end I think. I guess we should take it as a compliment though.
badgerx16 Posted 1 March, 2015 Posted 1 March, 2015 We wouldn't have scored if we'd played until midnight.
The Cat Posted 1 March, 2015 Posted 1 March, 2015 It ws frustrating that the ref did little about it, but people counting the number of seconds it took for Foster to take goal kicks etc was somewhat lame. Does no one remember how long we fannied around under Adkins with them?
Bloo71 Posted 2 March, 2015 Posted 2 March, 2015 Pulis' teams are renowned for it....Watching the game against Everton in one of his first games away for WBA, was painful. Time wasting has become a bug bear for me. ...It has become all too prevelant in the PL in recent years and refs are doing nothing to cut it out. I remember reading about a Stoke game, when Pulis was in charge unsurprisingly, when the ball was hardly in play throughout the 90 mins. I can't remember the figure now but I remember being shocked at the lack of value for money the fans were getting.

Whitey Grandad Posted 2 March, 2015 Posted 2 March, 2015 I remember that - it was in play for about 55 minutes of the 90. This is obvious in TV coverage of a live game. All the inactive time is filled with endless replays and shots of the managers an crowd.
