MOTD

Have to say I was more than a little miffed about the post match chat after our game on MOTD

The playback vindicated what most of us thought ie we should have had a stonewall penalty and Mignolet should have been red carded for handball outside the box but no comment on how that could have changed the game.

After that it was all about Liverpool and 'Bodgers' from Mark Lawrenson and Noel Gallagher.

No surprise there I suppose

Like how Jermaine Jenas duly put Rodgers in his place for claiming that the 'system' had caused Coutinho's lottery-ticket winning goal. Even David Brent never sounded like he was delivering a Bakerian lecture on theoretical physics.

Gallagher's comments particularly grated for some reason. Delighted for a Scouse win because they have a chance of keeping United out of the top four. Never, even crossed his mind that we might have a say in the matter. Blissfully complacent just like his music.

To a point yes, it was annoying and they should have discussed some of the key incidents in more depth.

But as has been stated above, there will always be a leaning towards the bigger clubs and in this instance, we did lose the game 2-0, which took Liverpool's unbeaten run to 10 games after a pretty awful first few months of the season from them, so i get why that was the focus.

To be honest, i'd be happy enough if we slipped back a little more under the radar, quietly pick up a few wins in the next couple of games without a massive load of press about how we're going Champions League/totally collapsing, and see how the land lies after that.
