Lovren, Lallana and Lambert talk about their return to St. Mary's for LFCtv

A lot of people blame Pochettino for "brainwashing" the players and making it feel like they had to leave once he'd gone, but from the way they talk there I think it was Cortese. They clearly felt the club was going to slide back down without him and I reckon had they known, they'd have stayed. The way we've performed this season has made an absolute mockery of all the "no ambition" comments from Rodgers and Lovren, as well as others.

Quite funny though that when talking about our players this season Lallana can't bring himself to mention Pelle, Tadic and Toby...their replacements.

It's getting a bit boring now, can't wait for the game.

Can't wait to get behind our lads for what is a massive game. Biggest league game since Coventry in the Championshsip?

Arguably... There is a lot at stake, plus with the context of the game yeah I'd probably say it is.

Is this like when you break up your partner, upon finding out she (or indeed he) is dating someone else, you convince yourself that she looks unhappy etc, she was definately happier with me, I bet she regrets letting it finish etc..

No it's far more self deluding.

No it's not!

It's like being dumped by a boyfriend for someone they thought was better than you. You move on and rebuild your life and realise how much better you're off without them. Then a year on they start following you around, looking at you all misty eyed and soppy. You half feel sorry for them, half think, sod you, let's ramp up the humiliation.

Ahem, apologies, got a bit carried away there. ;)

SRL - not a problem - he was at the end of his career.

Lovren - couldn't give a toss...mercenary journeyman.

Lallana - completely without an ounce of class...didn't understand what being a Captain is about and showed how shallow he really is...no respect for his position, SFC or the fans. His mate Gerrard could teach him a few things about loyalty and respect.

I love Rickie. Think he's a great guy, very humble and you can tell he's got where he wanted to go the hard way. Nothing but respect for him. I remember seeing him in Wesy Quay going to buy something for his Mrs. My mate and another few guys wanted photos. He took time out of his day shopping to stand and take photos with fans in the middle of the shopping centre. Think he handled the move very respectfully and I do believe he wants us to continue to do well. Maybe not at Liverpools expense but you can tell he's a Saints fan just by the way he smiles when he talks about us. I think footballers give the impression they're horrible people but Lamberts one of the few who seem to be more humble than even the average fan.

With our goal drought recently I think Lambert and Lallana could probably walk into the first team.

Of course Lallana would walk into our team he's a good player. Why on earth do you think some/most of our fans are so bitter.

I wish he was still a Saints player but he isn't and I've moved on.

He'll get dogs abuse tomorrow from me during the match as that's our job. Put him off a bit and Liverpool will lose an edge.

Other than that good luck to him.

That would be the Gerrard that handed in a transfer request to move to Chelsea in 2005. Ok he stayed, after the death threats and the improved offer from Liverpool.
