saint_disco123 Posted 21 February, 2015 Posted 21 February, 2015 So iT looked pretty clear that come the end of January we didn't get another striker to which many saints fan starting to worry were the goals were going to come from. Pelle,s goals had dried up, long was out and jay rod no one new what was going on with him. Now with a big game pending and with long back and jay rod hopefully back next month do we still need another one? If we got CL (which I think we will do, hopefully) will jay rod stay? If not could we attact a better player? Personally I think we should break the bank for Benteke, shoots from outside of the box and needs the service which we can provide plus Europe will persuade him more. Do you think we need someone else? Or is what we have good enough?

And we'll find out come the end of the season if we needed another striker. I still think we did need another alternative.

Mr X Posted 21 February, 2015 Posted 21 February, 2015 its clear we are short up front at least till jrod gets back pelle isnt great in front of goal but his all round play is fantastic and long has never been a prolific scorer, how much would benteke cost these days? im confident koeman could get the best out of him
Toomer Posted 21 February, 2015 Posted 21 February, 2015 I would have liked to have seen another stricker brought in during the window but I don't think there was anyone available with the quality we required, Pelle gets one IMO he will go on a good run till the end of the season.
