mrfahaji Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 F**k knows why panic is setting in for them now, any half clued up United would have seen the writing on the wall for a while, they've been terrible, poor manager, s**t biggest wage earner, very lucky that some of their competitors have underpeformed. arsenal defintely, and Spurs, Liverpool and us very probably the better side so far this season I reckon. Is it actually true that their competitors have underperformed though? Chelsea are better than last season, City are above them, Arsenal never meet expectations, Tottenham are better and we are also up there having a really good season. Liverpool are probably the only side to have notably dropped off, and I would say that it was more that last season they unexpectedly overperformed. I hear a lot of comments on the radio from people (particualrly United fans) saying that Premier League is worse this year - but I would argue that top teams are dropping more points it's actually that the league is getting stronger - and if you're competitors are dropping more points than you are, that means you're doing well, rather than the general consensus that everyone else must be rubbish.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Some Spurs fans booing them off at half time lol. Idiots.

Just had a quick look at the league after 26 games from last season. Top 3 the same, but notably 3rd placed Arsenal had 56 pts this season 8 less. 4th placed Liverpool had 11 points more on 53 than this seasons haul of 42 and hopefully that will be the same after their 26th game today!! 5th placed Spurs are 7 points down (hoping WHU hold on!!) from50 to 43. Man U are 7 points better off than this time last season and we are 7 points better off, but please god let it be 10 later today!! If (when) we win the 49 points would take us into 3rd place, but would only have seen us in 6th place last season!! This really is our best chance ever to get in amngst the CL places that's for sure.
Saints foreva Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Sahko you greedy ****. Sorry Sakho...
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Shame Townsend off ... been absolute dogs mess. To think a part exchange for Spiderman was touted pre season FFS. Hope somebody ties Eriksons boot laces together from the 85 th min. YAY WHU score again!! Quick look at table just to make sure this is worth cheering!! Hell it's Spurs losing so all good!!
saint lard Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I reckon that if spurs lose today,we beat Liverpool, and they then lose to Man City next week we will be on our way to a top 4 finish. Man UTD will miss out. Chelsea,City,Arsenal and us. West Ham 2 up...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sadoldgit Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Never thought I would be cheering West Ham LOL. Happy days!!!
Saint_Tony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Let's wait until we get 3 points, then this becomes a good result
andoru Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Not ashamed to admit I celebrated that second Hammers goal with a little jig. True, a West Ham win brings them into the mix for Europe (41 points) which potentially complicates things, but at least it keeps Spurs off our back for a while longer.
Bucks Saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 West Ham, all is forgiven. (Provided you dont mess this up now)
sadoldgit Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Let's wait until we get 3 points, then this becomes a good result It is a good result whatever happens later surely?
Saint_Tony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 It is a good result whatever happens later surely? Not if we lose
AdrianC Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 The Europa cup strikes again. Hope it strikes again this afternoon.....
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 WTF was Erikson doing ... it's only the 76th minute - don't try scoring so early!!
andoru Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Not if we lose Of course it is. Anytime a rival drops points, that's a good result. Our result doesn't affect that.
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 WTF was Erikson doing ... it's only the 76th minute - don't try scoring so early!! WTF was all that about? :scared:2-1

Ok, while these stats are evidence that you don't need to have hauled as many points this year, it still doesn't mean that the top teams have gone backwards, it can equally be true the entire league has got stronger. I just mean that when United fans write off LVG as being "lucky that everyone else is rubbish", they might be missing the point that he's done well to win the games he has (admittedly by not playing that well). PS I am chastising myself for using you're instead of your in my previous post. Oh god, come on West Ham, hold on...
Jack Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Come on West Ham! Not a fan of saying that but it's great seeing Spurs lose at home.
andoru Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 OFFS! How much luck are Spurs going to get this season?
LGTL Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Are Spurs for real? How many last minute goals now!
Jack Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Diving ****. A point still isn't great for Spurs to be fair.
Batman Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 For all Spurs celebrations. Fair play to them coming back Like us against West Ham recently, that is still 2 points dropped at home
GarrettIvo Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Utter garbage. I think it was a fair penalty, but Song didn't even need to go near Kane. He wasn't much of a threat running away from the goal there.
Plastic Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Pen in the last minute for a soft tackle. Such a lucky team. Fat Sam taking off Valencia for that donkey Cole was idiotic.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Draw not a bad result if we win.
syd_barrett_saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 ****ing Spurs. What a ****, lucky team.
Picard Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 We don't want West Ham getting too many points either.
Batman Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I'd say any result where Spurs don't win at home is a good one for us
Super_Saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 With all things considered, this is probably the best result for us.
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Moot point, but with the injury time all used up couldn't the ref have blown for full time once the pen had been saved rather than conclusion of play?? Anyway if we do the business 2 points gain on Spurs and 3 on Man U and Liverpoo would still be a good weekend.
AdrianC Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 From BBC site: 'Tottenham have now rescued 16 points from losing positions this season. Too many times to be down to luck. Or is it?'.
GarrettIvo Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 We don't want West Ham getting too many points either. I want them getting more than ****ing Spurs ypou can be sure of that.
Jack Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 From BBC site: 'Tottenham have now rescued 16 points from losing positions this season. Too many times to be down to luck. Or is it?'. Definitely lucky today. Scuffed shot from Rose and a goalkeeper howler to even let them put some pressure back on WHU. Then a soft as **** penalty from a really unintelligent bit of defending.
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 LOL at the Spoof BigSam Twitter account!! notBigSam@TheBig_Sam·15 mins15 minutes ago Well, every one of these useless bastards can now watch me whank in the hot tub. Whilst maintaining eye contact. They must learn from this
OldNick Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Moot point, but with the injury time all used up couldn't the ref have blown for full time once the pen had been saved rather than conclusion of play?? Saintandy666 Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Well then. A win today we knew was huge, but given these results, possibly even bigger now! Can put 5 points between us and 6th.
Saint_Tony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Well then. A win today we knew was huge, but given these results, possibly even bigger now! Can put 5 points between us and 6th. Yes, a win today will be a massive result.
