I thought it may be worth looking at the Home Office figures from last September. No surprises that it was Chelsea fans on the Metro. When I last went to Stamford Bridge, in the home end, it was apparent they really do have the worst fans on earth. Booing Torres as he was subbed and chanting 'Fat Spanish waiter, he's just a fat Spanish waiter' and 'You're not welcome here, f*** off Benitez, you're not welcome here'. As far as I could see, they were mostly taxi drivers from Croydon and tourists, fresh from the club shop. Still, here is the league of shame, with Saints reassuringly low down:

Newcastle United 127

Chelsea 91

West Ham United 67

Manchester United 61

Tottenham Hotspur 46

Manchester City 45

Liverpool 40

Sunderland 40

Arsenal 39

Crystal Palace 36

Hull City 34

Aston Villa 31

Everton 30

Burnley 29

Leicester City 28

Southampton 24

Stoke City 24

Swansea City 21

West Bromwich Albion 20

Queens Park Rangers 15

I knew the Geordies liked punching the odd horse but I didn't realise they were that bad.

There was quite a bit of aggro when the played Sunderland if I recall, hence the high number. Most of them probably stemmed from that one game

Crikey, we have work to do on that table to reach European form, those Dutch firms look way off yet.

Newcastle have 127 points out of a possible 114! #mind*****ed

People should remember you are only banned if you get caught. The smarter firms dance away from prying eyes. Plus such is our reputation quite often these days other firms rarely show so there is nothing to fight, hence why most of our bans are for drunken silliness rather than violence.
