Is it just me or does schniderlin spend an awful lot of time out injured and suspended? More so than any other time since he's been here.

Classic Turkish, putting a negative spin on it. Basically, you're implying that his head isn't at Southampton and he wants to leave for a change of scenery.

Just say that.

Find a single post for months if not years when I've been negative. Simply making an observation that he's been out more this season than any before. Is this not the case then?

He has a dodgy groin he is constantly nursing and he always did pick up quite a few cards.

Yea, he has been unavailable a lot. May be a blessing in disguise as at least we started to win games without him seeing as he won't be here next season.

I agree with Turkish, too.

He looked "tuned-out" to me in the Sheffield United game - even kicked the ball away when he was already on a booking, as though he didn't care any more, and he hasn't been very convincing since. At least, not by his own high standards.

It's almost as though he wants to make himself appear dispensable, which he'd probably only do if he knew that things were already sorted with his next club. Not that things like that go on in football.

He's barely played since November it seems. Suspended, the.n sent off then injured. No point spinning it, he's off in the summer, but don't think he's out through choice.

To be fair, was thinking the same thing.

Okay cheers. Is this a long term problem or a recent thing? He's he did always get booked a lot.

I think he picked up the injury when away with france back in October, and it's been a niggle ever since.

For all the focus on Morgan's absences, Toby hasnt fared much better.

From the Newcastle game onwards (i.e. Toby's debut), they have each featured in only 18 games -or two thirds of the campaign (all competitions, 27 games). Averaged across the entire season, Morgan's record is actually slightly better.

You're right, he does seem abit injury prone. I think it has been discussed already though?

I mentioned a similar observation about Morgan several weeks ago; I think it was S. Clarke who believed it was just Morgan's casual, languid style - and he could be right. Just the same there's something about his demeanour these days which looks a bit like "I'm out of here".

Hang on, did nta just bait Turkish big time?! That's how I read it! If so, BIG win nta. Respect.

Yeh something to do with a recurrent hamstring, though many are still expecting him to slot back in. Morgan has always been pretty free from injury, so it is a surprise and concern that he can't shake off this niggle. But don't buy into this "it's because he's off" horses**t.

Or hang on, have I just been been baited, by some kind of weird postbaiterism. Oh my f*ck, that's was genius.

Morgan is of in the summer. Think p much everyone knows that.

Just think he's been unlucky with a couple of injuries (of which he hasn't really had many since getting to the Prem) and he 'took one for the team' against Chelsea. I wouldn't read too much into it. It's true to say he's missed more than usual, but purely because he has played most games the past few seasons.

Can't really say I've seen this apparent disinterest this season either. Considering he clearly wanted to leave, he's been a pro. Judging by the Sheff Utd game, all the players want out.

I recall it first flaring up in the Championship promotion season which makes it a fairly long-term thing I suppose. Here is a log of his Premier League injuries and it's definitely a concern: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/players/3903/morgan_schneiderlin_injury.html

We can still beat Liverpool, even without Toby and Morgan. OK, their attack is pretty good now that Sturridge is back, but their defence is not the best. Ours is.

To be fair their defence has got a lot better since their £20m signing was dropped and replaced by a CM.

This does make me laugh. In fairness, Can does look a player. Annoyingly, Livrpool are starting to look pretty darn good, as are Spurs and Arsenal. That (yes I know) 'race for fourth' should be pretty interesting.

Complete with new mauve/lilac/purple boots no less. Don't remember seeing José, probably just flicked through the gallery too fast though. Nope, no Victor, no José...aie aie aie. Hope they're just having a day off or something.

Shane Long also back in training, that seems quicker than originally expected. So looks like we are without Toby, Bertrand, JRod and Gallagher only. Getting closer to full squad again.

Gallagher is available if Koeman wanted to pick him.
