sitting here going through loads of radio stations on the WWW

what radio station do you listen to during the day? Most importantly, what one is worth having on at the workplace while counting down the hours?

I can't abide adverts so all commercial stations are out. I generally flick between 6Music and Radio 4 depending on what/who is on. At the moment I'm spending most mornings listening to random cricket World Cup matches on Sports Xtra.

As for internet radio Resonance has some interesting stuff. There's some decent electronic, bass, grime and guest djs on Rinse at times. If you like alternative music then KEXP from Seattle is the best I know. But then it would be, it's from Seattle.

Radio 2 up to 1200, Jeremy Vine does my head in.

I sometimes tune in for Popmaster but that's it. Steve Wright has to be the most irritating dj there is. Radio 2 is all so bland and safe though. It's 2.4 kids, 3 bed semi detached, surburban, people cruiser driving radio. My dentist had it on the other day, safe to say I was quite glad when he shoved the drill in my mouth to dig out an old filling so I didn't have to listen anymore.

I've had Absolute Radio on on a fair bit. Sat mornings with Frank Skinner is a must. Plenty of good ol' rock'n'roll and indie from days gone by.

Radio 2 has its moments. Too many road reports for my liking. Not so interesting to us abroad.

Any other stations with interesting hosts? Anyone out there worth listening to?

It's another vote for absolute radio here. Spend a lot of time in the car and they have some great songs on there. DJs don't talk as much bo**ocks as most either.
