niceandfriendly Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 No Mane, Schneiderlin or Reed? Very disappointing. come on boys lets do this
NewYorkSaint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Surprising team. In Koemans we trust. Strong bench!!!
Saints foreva Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I can't see where the goals are gonna come from with that starting line up.
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 The bench looks fair strong Bench looks stronger than the starting line up!! COYS
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 midfield is very interesting, how do we think we are setting up ? Davis Wanayama JWP Elia Djuricic Pelle Is this a direct effect of the lack of goals, davis pushed forward more than morgan and Flip is a proper no.10 ?
Aziz Yebda Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 So glad Lovren is playing. Gonna easily get to him.
ART Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 The bench looks fair strong Indeed but we can only play 3 and that maybe not be in our hands if anyone injured or send off. Worrying line up
igsey Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 JWP hat-trick. We're due a Clyne thunderbolt too.
Batman Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Djuricic must be very good to force mane out of the side Can't wait!!!!
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Shout out to Shane Long getting back on to the bench as well, nice to have the option.
John B Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 The bench looks fair strong Must be one of the srongest benches ever
Saint_Tony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Strange line ups from both sides. Game changers on the bench though
Batman Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Their side Sturridge on the bench. @alex_crook: #lfc team v #saintsfc Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Lovren, Henderson, Allen, Markovic, Ibe, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling
Saint Billy Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 A bit worried about the lineup! oh well Ronald must have his reasons.......hopefully.
Secret Site Agent Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Reckon we are going to park the bus first half then hit them hard second half. Swing in crosses for the flanks for pelle and let the mid field hold up the ball. Quick pases around the box.

Batman Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Their side seem to offer little solidity and no left foot Lots of pace though
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 http://forums.liverpoolfc.com/threads/370243-Team-News-amp-Match-Thread-Southampton-v-Liverpool-22-2-15-KO-16-15 Liverpool fans not too happy with their team selection. Liverpool fans would be unhappy if they won the lottery, its their default setting to find misery in everything.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Ronald Koeman: "It's up to us to show them (returning players) that there was no reason to leave Southampton."
SuperMikey Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Both line-ups today strike me as similar to when you rotate your squad for a cup game on Football Manager and start the next game without remembering to put your strongest players back in. Should be an interesting game though, good attacking players in both teams.
Dalek2003 Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I'm surprised that Shane Long has recovered so quickly !
Aziz Yebda Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Koeman on Filip Djuričić: "We need his quality on the ball. He has good movement in the space which #LFC normally give opponents. Has a point
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I think we did have to freshen up the no.10 role behind pelle as we are just not getting goals from from Davis or JWP when they tag team in that position. Not seen enough of Djuricic to formulate an opinion but based on the feedback in the u21 game he scored and assisted so that is a plus. I see Tadic and Mane coming on for Elia and JWP if needed or swapping mane or tadic (Mane the first option for pace alone) for Djuricic if he is being bullied out of the game. Morgan will get dropped in for Davis if we are getting overrun in midfield.
Saint Pete Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 A bit surprised at that line up, particularly the choice of Djuricic over Mane from the start in such a huge game. Koeman must have a lot of faith in him.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 No **** sherlock How are things with Adam? Is he able to get a hold of Brendan on a Sunday when he wants? Did you flip like a burger over to the Liverpool forum to give snippets of information and threats to quit every 4th post or have you just been busy?
CumbrianSaint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Well here we go again lads, lets put a few more noses out of joint again today!
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Lets start with a good nun before kick off :-)

saintbob40 Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 The Southampton Way clouding the need to start with the best 11? Interesting to see how this turns out.
Aziz Yebda Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 The Southampton Way clouding the need to start with the best 11? Interesting to see how this turns out. Best 11 *in your view
Batman Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 The Southampton Way clouding the need to start with the best 11? Interesting to see how this turns out. I'm guessing Elia will play off Pelle And djuricic is in for tadic Surprised mane it out though
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I'm guessing Elia will play off Pelle And djuricic is in for tadic Surprised mane it out though I was thinking Djuricic would be playing closer to Pelle to feed off his knock downs and be like Ziadane (optimist alert) as we have all been lamenting the fact that Pelle has been unsupported over the last few games. I see DJ (gonna shorten it for typing purposes) playing closer to Pelle and spreading the play out wide before bombing on into the area.
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 **** it I don't care how we play as long as we win
the_emu Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Wondering whether they will get Pelle to batter them first half then rest him early in the second for an all out pace assault
lickierambert Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 God I'm nervous. Think I'd take a point now if offered it
Saints foreva Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Wondering whether they will get Pelle to batter them first half then rest him early in the second for an all out pace assault Skrtel loves playing against strikers like Pelle. He will probably have him in his back pocket.
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Best 11 *in your view I have to say Taider really let you down with your username Glasgow, I reckon you switch allegiance to the Serbians and call yourself after the legend Dragan Stojkovic
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Skrtel loves playing against strikers like Pelle. He will probably have him in his back pocket. Which is why Pelle will be doing his best to be jumping against Lovren. Best bench we have had all season. Pretty much other options for all our attacking players.
SuperMikey Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Steve Claridge has this to say on Lallana: "I think Adam Lallana will get a good reception today. Only the crazy fans will give him stick. When you think about how well he did at this football club, I don't think you can give him anything other than the credit he deserves. He was at Southampton since he was 14. It was a natural progression for him to move on." Claridge there, completely missing the point as to why he's going to get abused today. It wasn't the fact that he left, it was how he left and the comments he made. Clueless bastard.
Convict Colony Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 In the name of equality here is one for Coxford Lou I found of Dubai Phil posing on holiday :-) (sorry DP)
Window Cleaner Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 A bit worried about the lineup! oh well Ronald must have his reasons.......hopefully. No doubt he'll explain them to us if the worst should happen.
Aziz Yebda Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I have to say Taider really let you down with your username Glasgow, I reckon you switch allegiance to the Serbians and call yourself after the legend Dragan Stojkovic What the hell is Glasgow?

alpine_saint Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Rodgers starting Lovren. What an arrogant ***** he is.
