trousers Posted 11 February, 2015 Share Posted 11 February, 2015 Seems a slightly weird policy to subsidise them but then only take half the available allocation. Indeed. Was contemplating going (before the discount was announced) but no chance of it going to general sale now I would imagine.
stevegrant Posted 11 February, 2015 Share Posted 11 February, 2015 It's all we need. Still not exactly cheap, Sunday lunch time, on tv. It sold out pretty quickly last season IIRC, and that was a Sunday game as well. At £40, it's a much more attractive price - I think that's what we charge for Cat A games now! JRM Posted 11 February, 2015 Share Posted 11 February, 2015 I suppose it is our only away game that month , and an easy journey, perhaps they were happy subsidising a small number of tickets, but holding some of the away fans fund back for another reduced price game in May when we have three away games on 2nd, 9th, 24th
oldsarum Posted 11 February, 2015 Share Posted 11 February, 2015 I've spoken to supporters liaison officer and she has suggested there are plans for further initiatives on future away games For Sunderland we had already agreed the same deal as we had with Newcastle that all supporters for games between us would be £

The Cat Posted 11 February, 2015 Share Posted 11 February, 2015 Cheers Saints. Maybe they'll subsidise Man City too. With it being the last game it could be Cat A and therefore £51/£54. Ouch.

John Boy Saint Posted 20 February, 2015 Share Posted 20 February, 2015 Bit carp considering how often we have sold out for away games that some narrow minded thinking has gone on in the ticket office to take just the smallest amount with the game being just up the road. Or is someone on a bonus with the £10 saving "ooo we sold out and still have £15k in the pot".
