BARCELONASAINT Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 this has been a cracking game and i fear Spurs and Liverpool are both really playing at their peaks now. I'm not being pessemistic when when i say we will lose to both these these sides, i just can not see us beating either side. Kane and Sturridge are both too quick and strong. I sincerley hope i'm wrong....ohhh and goal Liverpool....lol

Saint_Tony Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 Think everyone needs to stop worrying so much about the other sides around us. It's in our hands, if we don't finish fourth or above it will be because we weren't good enough. It's almost as if some are finding it difficult to accept that any team might get some points from this games.Let's just make sure we get three points tomorrow. Doctoroncall Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 They won't IMO. They have a fully fit squad pretty much, loads of attacking options and a good bit of momentum. I think they have one of the hardest set of fixtures of those challenging for a CL place so if any team were to win, Liverpool would be the choice. It's almost as if some are finding it difficult to accept that any team might get some points from this games.Let's just make sure we get three points tomorrow. Completely agree with this. The pressure is on the "big" teams, they are expected to make top 4, we aren't. Every result we think is a bad one for us is also a bad one for them, they are all looking over their shoulders. It's nice to dream but the realist in me looks at Arsenal, Man U, Spurs and 'Pool, the financial clout they have, the strength in depth, and I have to accept that top four is unlikely for us (as much as I would love to be wrong) BUT, I console myself with the fact that out of those 4 teams, who I utterly detest, at least 2 of them won't make Champions League, hahaha, gotta look on the bright side! Would love it to be 3 not making it though!
a1ex2001 Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 Stating the obvious, but 3 points tomorrow would be huge. This all day long, it's in our hands and a win tomorrow will keep that bit of breathing space over the chasing pack! fingers and toes crossed but I can honestly say what ever happens this season it will have been amazing I never thought I would see Saints fighting it out at the business end of the table this deep into a season. It is remarkable when you compare our spending to those around us.
pap Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 The Liverpool vs Spurs game was fun to watch. Scoreline flattered Tottenham a bit. Their second goal was offside, so I can see why Mignolet was upset. Setting up nicely for Saints top 4 push. Liverpool have taken points from Spurs just to jostle for position. As others have remarked, end of season ambitions could be set in the near future, depending on results.
S-Clarke Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 Cracking game that, 2 teams full of life and confidence. But a win tomorrow and we're closing in on securing that Top 7 spot, given that we'd be 11 points clear!

washsaint Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 wow....can't believe some of the comments here (actually I can). Liverpool are still 3 points behind and if we win against WHU (which we need to be doing to maintain momentum) we will be 6 clear of Pool and 5 clear of Spurs. So Spurs then would have to win 2 and Liverpool get 2 wins and a draw whilst we lose every game just to get ahead of us. And the games are starting to run out. So long as we keep winning then we are in an unbelievable position: I think 7th is the lowest we will finish now which is extraordinary considering what the general perception was at the start of the season. It is very much in our hands.....win tomorrow and avoid defeats against Liverpool and Spurs and that means only 11 games left: and if both Spurs and Liverpool have to get 2 wins ahead of us that is a huge mountain to climb at this stage of the season. Lord Duckhunter Posted 10 February, 2015 Share Posted 10 February, 2015 Since our result against Swansea , arsenal have dropped 3 points , spurs have dropped 3 points , man utd have dropped 2 points and Liverpool have dropped 2 points . When you are talking about the top of the table , for a 2 game sequence you can't ask for much more than that .

(Heck, I'm sure you even said we had no chance for a top half finish a few weeks back!) Of course we won't. That way.... ...if we do manage to, I'll be very happy ...if we don't, I won't be so disappointed as it is what I expected. All games are important, tomorrow's is a tricky one, but the real 2 important ones are obviously Liverpool and Spurs both at home. If we have the full squad up and running, then I cannot imagine that Liverpool and Spurs will be looking forward to visiting us. Morgan and Vic seem to be back and when Toby makes it back along with Ryan......fingers crossed and all that.
