EBS1980 Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Steve from Veho has agreed to do a Q&A for my website (the93rdminute.co.uk) about the role of being a football club sponsor and the benefits and opportunities it brings. If anyone has any questions they would like me to ask about this just let me know. Thanks
bilbot79 Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Steve, in your opinion, should Tadic be deployed on the left or the right?

Is his stuff as good as the competition?
It's There Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Who has he been most impressed with from the board - or main people at Saints? Has Veho sales/profile increased due to their sponsorship- and roughly by how much if so? What are the perks of sponsorship?

Has Veho sales/profile increased due to their sponsorship- and roughly by how much if so? What are the perks of sponsorship? Your Saints Pebble Portable Charger + Speaker. Can you make a Saints version of that!? I'd buy it! and I'd also ask the questions above^^
Bearsy Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Does he remember when he first introduced himself to Les Reed? "What we do is import cheap, foreign products, stick our own badge on them, and then flog them on for a massive mark up. How about you?" "Oh, I'm in electronics."

Saint-scooby Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 if I was blind and into animal porn, would you let me in to watch a game
Saint_Ash Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Since the sponsorship has it increased their turnover?
Pancake Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Is his head in (insert team de jour here) or will he stick around next season?
EBS1980 Posted 7 February, 2015 Author Posted 7 February, 2015 Thanks for the questions so far. I'll ask the sensible ones. Keep them coming, I'll be collating them and sending over early next week.
Redslo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Is the sponsorship fee higher next year if Southampton qualifies for Europe?
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 How does he measure whether or not the cost of the sponsorship of the club is an investment that has provided profit for Veho?# I have no idea how any sponsor can do this as so many other things impact business. Do they just write it off as some sort of investment without knowing whether or not it is worth it?
St. Neil Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Will there ever be a boy born, who can swim faster than a shark?
TwoPints Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Will there ever be a boy born, who can swim faster than a shark? Great question. This should definitely be asked.
Saint_clark Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Have Saints fas been buying any of his products? I'm tempted by the helmet cams for bicycles. Is his stuff as good as the competition? I wonder what his answer to this will be.

If anyone has any questions they would like me to ask about this just let me know. Thanks Steve....if you were on the Saints board, would you be looking for a major global company for your next shirt sponsorship deal or would you stick with a relatively unknown local company? Steve....have you seen next season's kit design yet? If you have, how different is it to our current kit? Edited 8 February, 2015 by trousers
SaintBobby Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Why can't I buy Saints-branded Veho stuff?
rooney Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Are Veho able to improve the Public Address System at St Mary's if asked by the Board?
Badger Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Steve....have you seen next season's kit design yet? If you have, how different is it to our current kit? A similar thought to that for him, are they consulted over the kit change, and how prominent their logo will be against it ? Or are any assurances given on entering into the sposorship ?
sammysaint Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 I have brought some of there Saints branded products, they are good, and I never heard of them before our sponsorship, so they gained a customer in me from there investment. I like the fact the product is good and he is a Saints fan, so my question would be. Would you like to have a long term sponsorship relationship with Saints ? As I personally see people buying Veho products every time I am in the megastore.
Saint_Abroad Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 A) Are you hiring? B) What's the future of personal listening devices (not sure what to call it)? C) Is Veho investing/designing/creating any of these future devices? D) When will you have a funny commercial? Funny commercials always make a product sell.
Weston Saint Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 "With your sponsorship of Southampton FC, what impact is there on overseas sales in your markets when players from that country regularly play in the first team"
Ludwig Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Does he envisage a day when Saints will have an entirely electronic footballer playing for them? If so, what position does he think would be best suited to an electronic footballer and why?
doggface Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Great to have a local ambitious company as main sponsor. However from a purely commercial basis, we must be earning between 1.5-3 mill p.a, which for a pl team is very poor. Would Steve consider stepping aside if the club got a monster offer commercially?
angelman Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Can you ask him, what he thinks his gain commercially from the sponsorship has been and whether it is primarily UK based or overseas? Also, does he feel that the Club's cosying up to Garmin, a company with a a turnover of over $2 billion, detracts from his sponsorship deal.
Yuki Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 1. Are his fingers longer than Morgan Schinderlin's? 2. Has he ever been to Japan and would he consider using a Saints player like Maya to advertise some of the goods? Maya is worshipped in Japan so would be commercial advantage.
Noodles34 Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 Obviously the advertising deal is tax deductible but the little add ons, entertainment at the games etc. ST's, free merchandise perhaps? is he declaring them as BIK's or are they lost in 'advertising'.
david in sweden Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 Obviously there is a lot of exposure to a Prem. club 3rd in the table, but when did he first agree the deal? ...and how did he feel in the summer....after the massive player "exodus"? panic ? /or / waste of money?...or
EBS1980 Posted 9 February, 2015 Author Posted 9 February, 2015 thanks for all the questions. Excluding the silly ones i will try and ask all the others to him. Will keep you posted and let you know when it's going to be published.
Redslo Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 thanks for all the questions. Excluding the silly ones i will try and ask all the others to him. Will keep you posted and let you know when it's going to be published. Ask at least one silly one.
vince Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 Ask him how pleased he is with the exposure MOTD give him in their intro to every programme, much better than seeing a player who hasn't played all season in last years kit with last years sponsor. Oh, hang on......
EBS1980 Posted 9 February, 2015 Author Posted 9 February, 2015 Right questions have gone in. Will let you know when ready to be read. Hopefully he'll answer them all :-)
