beatlesaint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Even if that is true do you think anyone in their right mind would spend big money on a player who has missed a whole season ?
Lorne Malvo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Even if that is true do you think anyone in their right mind would spend big money on a player who has missed a whole season ? 16 goals in 24 games this season
Saint_clark Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 16 goals in 24 games this season I think he's talking about rodriguez? Big fan of Gignac, haven't seen him very often but when i have he's stuck in my mind. Would be very happy with signing him. Edit - sorry about the quote messing up, combination of drink and tapatalk.
Crazy Diamond Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Where would this forum be without YouTube?
Morse Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 I would be piqued if Mr Rodriques were to depart after we've been paying his wages for a year while he's sat on the physios couch. He owes us now.
Convict Colony Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Where would this forum be without YouTube? using football manager hahahaha
Crazy Diamond Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 FM stats? He's not come through our academy, he's not a Saints fan by birth, and I question whether or not he's hungry. Don't think we should risk signing such an undedicated, misfit character like that.
shurlock Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Always thought HCDAJFU when it was clear Lambert's performances were tailing off. Another target man, would provide good competition for Pelle.
beatlesaint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 16 goals in 24 games this season i mean Jay not the French guy !
Bucks Saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Jay Rod is not really back up to Pelle, this guy looks like he might be
nta786 Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Jay Rod is not really back up to Pelle, this guy looks like he might be I'd like to think Jay Rod is the alternative to Pelle in that, if the target man system ain't working, then he's the pacy option off the bench. He would've been useful today against QPR's slow defenders.
angelman Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Am I allowed to be a cynic here and say that this is a strange post for a new member to make as his first? Anyway, welcome Roboze.
Roboze Posted 7 February, 2015 Author Posted 7 February, 2015 Hi, been lurking for a few weeks! first post as this is the first time i have stumbed across a story that hasn't already made it here! thx for the welcome.

He would've been useful today against QPR's slow defenders. He was not very effective up front on his own previously. Playing as one of a front three, with pace from out wide, was easily his best position. It's working well for Mane

St Chalet Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Playing for Bielsa he will probably fit our style well with the forwards pressing. Appreciate this isn't as important under Koeman as it was with Poch.
positivepete Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/everton-and-southampton-in-close-battle-for-french-striker-out-of could this mean Jay is off? This guy is twenty nine and looking for a big pay day. Two attributes that put us (rightly) out of the race.
Roboze Posted 8 February, 2015 Author Posted 8 February, 2015 good point pete, forgot to look at age.... but surely got a few years left on him, and would be on a free?
Redslo Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 This guy is twenty nine and looking for a big pay day. Two attributes that put us (rightly) out of the race. Our pay scale counts as a big pay day by the standards of most of the world including nearly all French clubs.
Batman Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 This guy is twenty nine and looking for a big pay day. Two attributes that put us (rightly) out of the race. How old is Pelle, good player but 29?
david in sweden Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 How old is Pelle, good player but 29? .....as I recall .....Rickie Lambert was a pretty good player at 29 .....
david in sweden Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Where would this forum be without YouTube? of course every YouTube clip is " very selective " and only shows you the best of the player, but it's a bit like having our own " Black Box " - especially when it's a little-known foreign player.

Window Cleaner Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Extremely unlikely is about all you can say on this rumour.
Saint Charlie Posted 8 February, 2015 Posted 8 February, 2015 Crook has copied and pasted this onto the Daily Mirror site. Really has no shame that guy!
Saint IQ Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 Wants huge wages so makes me think us signing him is unlikely.
Batman Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 Wants huge wages so makes me think us signing him is unlikely. Where does it state his wage demands?
CB Fry Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 Where does it state his wage demands? First line of the linked article?
Roboze Posted 9 February, 2015 Author Posted 9 February, 2015 He just wants more then he is getting now, if we get him on a free maybe we can pay him what he's after........unless he want stupid money!
Batman Posted 9 February, 2015 Posted 9 February, 2015 First line of the linked article? It says he want a big pay deal I should imagine that moving to saints without us breaking the bank would give that Unless French clubs outside of PSG and Monaco pay premier levels of salary???
