Yoshi performed admirably out of position so expect him on the left with Gardos in the middle Hopefully tobes back for Liverpool.

Was really pleased with his performance today, he showed his quality & adaption over the 95 minutes.

Nice to see he has been praised by the Coach after the game.

Yoku yatta, Maya.

If it is anything like my missus, the headache will be ok in the morning so should be good for Weds.

I grind up paracetamol and put it in my wife's dinner. Doesn't seem to make a difference.

All the best to Matt. It's bad luck to lose both your left backs let alone one. Even squad strength can't factor in that. IMO if Targett is out, I'd shift Clyne across to left back and use someone else on the right like Yoshida. Clyne has showed he's versatile enough to cope.

That's good news! Back for weds?

If he had a concussion, he cannot safely play on Wednesday. The process of returning to play after suffering a concussion takes a minimum of five days after symptoms cease. If he has no symptoms tomorrow and they do not reappear, he should not play until Friday. See these sites:

Not being able to play for a week after a concussion is a bit much.

Concussion is the symptom of a minor brain injury. It may mask a more serious brain injury hence the period of rest. I appreciate he has had a brain scan and been given the all clear but as he has a headache today and Koeman has already said the health of the players are more important than points it is very unlikely he will be available for West Ham but will be ok for Liverpool.

I am not medically trained but have dealt with many brain injury compensations and read numerous reports from the brain injury experts.

From the original link below to the Treatment of Head Injuries:

"Concussion is a brain injury. There is no blood test or scan currently available that can diagnose it."

So having a scan is not really of any benefit, other than to ensure there is no other injury.

It also says:

  • The player should undergo a period of physical and mental rest for at least 24 hours after the injury (which includes the playing of video games or similar)

I hope it wasn't Matty himself that was Tweeting.

Matty will not play On Wednesday, and probably should not even train this week if the guidelines are followed.

The scan cannot diagnose concussion but it can identify an injury such as swelling and bleeding.
