Jonnyboy Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 QPR are there for the taking, they are awful - Elia or Mane will do them for pace eventually. Yes but we've only got another 45 minutes.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Not too bad. Looked like we were playing the long ball game a bit, but with mane's pace it has nearly paid off a couple of times. Elia's fast too, but not sure about his shooting. If Fonte's shot had gone in that would have been goal of the week. Need a goal early 2nd half though; or else get Tadic on... for Pelle?
Saint_Abroad Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Need someone to take a through pass, doesn't always have to be started out wide. Maybe it's the noise in the pub where I'm at but it seems like we're not making as much noise as we were before Mattie went down. True?
Convict Colony Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Loving Sadio and Elia at the moment they are taking the **** with their skill and speed we just need a finish. Fell for Pelle as he is stuck doing hold up play and doesn't have the pace to catch up. We should win based on the first 45mins but as every minute passes in the 2nd half the more frustrated we will become and rangers will grow in confidence, we need an early goal 2nd half to settle us down.
badgerx16 Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 From the BBC live text : "45:00 +5:01 Eljero Elia (Southampton) wins a free kick in the attacking half. 45:00 +5:01 Foul by Richard Dunne (Queens Park Rangers)." That doesn't get anywhere near describing events !
Convict Colony Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Wanyama is a beast today Vic is always a beast but his new haircut helps, plus it gives me an excuse to dig this out again
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 What we are missing is a poacher De Foe style someone to put in a half chance never mind the good chances
Convict Colony Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 The commentator on my stream has managed to mis-identify all of the black players in our squad apart from Clyne so far.. Anyway, Mane looks very lively. Giving their centre backs a run-around! I know he mistook Vic for Mane
Saints foreva Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Hopefully Pelle can find some form in this second half, he's been disappointing in the league for a while now.
DG Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Thought we were doing ok until the injury then lost our way.
Sheaf Saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Mane particularly and Elia lively, they look our main threat. Tadic has to come on. Not for me he doesn't. Our attacking play has looked much sharper today with Mane and Elia in the wide positions. We need to use their pace if we want to score goals.
SuperMikey Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 I know he mistook Vic for Mane That did make me chuckle! Side by side you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two of them
Saint Benali Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 By law of averages JWP should put in a decent cross at some point.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 7 February, 2015 Author Posted 7 February, 2015 Lacking a bit of guile in final third
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Buggar! replay shows Mane onside. Yes he bent his run well
Waterside.saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 We are due set piece goal Can't remember the last time we scored from a set piece
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 They are of course concentrating on our left side
InvictaSaint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 This has got 0-0 written all over it Kerching ;-)
Ohio Saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Can't remember the last time we scored from a set piece This is what frustrates me given James Ward's Prowess at set pieces. (See what I did there?)
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Looks like we are the home side they are playing on the break
Dr Who? Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 This has got 0-0 written all over it I see what you did there.
Ohio Saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 This has got 0-0 written all over it I stood in for you last week with that one......It seems that it has to come from you.
Leicestersaint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Have we had a shot on target this half?
captainchris Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Pelle really is not mobile enough. Fancy flicks to no one and predictable back to goal static play.... Needs to be dropped /rested ... He needs to make a step change to his game and make runs facing the opposition goal... Also just stays in the central zone far too much which is linked to the issue of back to goal.... A bit lazy actually ...

Jonnyboy Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Never rated Pelle myself but he is pretty starved of chances to be fair.
Dr Who? Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 There is normal a 0-0 and looking at the other fixtures over the weekend, this looks the most likely.
Mr X Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 still not convinced by forster never a 10m keeper, looks dodgey on nearly every clearance
Batman Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Never rated Pelle myself but he is pretty starved of chances to be fair. It's not the chances. General play, hold ball up. Working their defence Don't know if he is carrying a knock but he is so static
Ohio Saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 ah, the goal in the sky. No, Mane, don't aim for that one.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 It's not the chances. General play, hold ball up. Working their defence Don't know if he is carrying a knock but he is so static He is playing more as a midfielder he is so deep
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 7 February, 2015 Author Posted 7 February, 2015 It's not the chances. General play, hold ball up. Working their defence Don't know if he is carrying a knock but he is so static You never did rate him if memory serves me well.
Jonnyboy Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 That's when Mane should've hit it first time ffs!
verlaine1979 Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 We haven't been anything like as fluid as we were first half against Swansea. I also wonder if we would'n't be better off losing the one in thirty-odd times a Pelle flick or dummy comes off magnificently, if the other 29 times we had at least a 50-50 chance of retaining possession in the final third.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Playing awfully - Pelle looks disinterested - they will score on the break. We just do not look like a threat in front of goal at all. So poor now.
Jonnyboy Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Love Davis but he always used to chip in with a few good goals
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 You don't shoot you don't scorw Mane trying to walk it in
Ohio Saint Posted 7 February, 2015 Posted 7 February, 2015 Dunne has Pelle in his back pocket. Keep your friends close, and your enemies on your buttocks.
