Roger Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 For me probably Toby. The guy is quality. Ranking first 5 1. Toby 2. Morgan 3. Vic 4. Clyne 5. Fonte. We need to get Morgan Vic and Toby starting together more.
NewYorkSaint Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 Funny. If you'd asked this after 6 games this season, consensus would prob have been something like: Tadic, Pelle, Morgan, Clyne, Vic. If we could only refresh the Tadic/Pelle magic a little............. My favorite player currently is Big Vic. All that muscle and all that grace. Seems impossible. But I'd put Mane up there too. On his day. And yes... Morgan, Nathaniel, Toby.... ...and a plug for Bertrand. He's been involved in so many of our best attacks.
Saint86 Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 Its clearly Toby, how you can say Morgan is beyond me. He is good ofc, but Toby is an utter god. Should be playing for a champions league winning team.
VectisSaint Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 Its clearly Toby, how you can say Morgan is beyond me. He is good ofc, but Toby is an utter god. Should be playing for a champions league winning team. He is, just not yet.
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 Its morgan, its always been morgan. Then possibly Toby, then Vic
norwaysaint Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 The word "whose" means "Who does it belong to?". "Who is" can be shortened to "who's". I think most would agree Morgan is our best player. Toby is good too, but I need to see a player across a whole season. Clyne, Wanyama, Fonte and Davis are the next along.

Saint Charlie Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 1. Morgan 2. Toby 3. Clyne 4. Wanyama 5. Pelle
saintadjg Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 The one I think we miss most when he's out is Vic.The guy is a colossus. But Toby is probably our best player and is crazily versatile.
Mattio Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 Toby, I haven't seen a more consistant Saints player in my time watching.
krissyboy31 Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 It's between Morgan and Toby. Not sure I can split the TBH!
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 Toby, I haven't seen a more consistant Saints player in my time watching. Easily the best CB Ive seen in the red n white for sure
Saint_Ash Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 For me, Toby followed by vic based on this season.
Roger Posted 3 February, 2015 Author Posted 3 February, 2015 Is say Toby I think Morgan and Vic are equally as good but we seem to miss wanyama more when he's out.
NickG Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 I'm holding back a bit on Toby as seem to remember being very impressed by our new CB last season! If its who is most consistent , or impressive for us you could argue most of names listed above. Good test maybe how many prem sides could use each player in their first 11. Surely Schneiderlin would have a good chance of featuring in all sides? Reckon all back 5 and Wanyama would feature in most.
david in sweden Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 looking at MOM stats. ..almost everyone can be " the best " ..on their day. I think Steven Davis also deserves a place on your " best list ".
kpturner Posted 3 February, 2015 Posted 3 February, 2015 "who is" or "who's" but definitely not "whose"
cellone Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 "who is" or "who's" but definitely not "whose" This
Bad Wolf Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 My top 3: 1) Alderweireld 2) Wanyama 3) Fonte
Bearsy Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 I can't be having defenders of even defensive midfielders, they're just bros who weren't good enough to play attack. I will have Pelle as my best player pls. I might change to Mane or Tadic if they are more Consistent.
Clunge Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Toby by a country mile, Schneiderlin next then probably Wanyama for me.
beavis17 Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 My top 3: 1) Alderweireld 2) Wanyama 3) Fonte Fonte above Morgan?!
sadoldgit Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 What I like about this squad is that it is just that - a squad. We have a lot of decent players and are not reliant on just one.
red&white56 Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 I think Fonte has shown that he's a key part of our success and I put him first.
ladysaint Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 What criteria are we using, i.e. this season, last season, all seasons since they have been playing Anyway for me on all counts would be as follows: 1) Morgan 2) Fonte 3) Steve Davis
Dig Dig Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 It's actually a tough call which is obviously a very good reflection of our current team. My top 3 is based on general influence and the impact on our ability to win consistently without them: 1) Schneiderlin 2) Pelle 3) Fonte

(And not because he has been brilliant either).
Tokyo-Saint Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Ha Nice try Yuki! Even the biggest samurai blue Nihonjin can't really believe Yoshida is our 2nd best player!
Yuki Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Ha Nice try Yuki! Even the biggest samurai blue Nihonjin can't really believe Yoshida is our 2nd best player! Well...some people have named players apart from the long-fingered Schneiderlin as the Saints' best player. I think they are more wrong. Maya Yoshida is a very key player which is why he signed another 3 years with the Club Southampton. Ok, he may not be a glamourous lad but he is the reason I and many more in Japan follow the Saints, and for that explanation he is the number two for me. I respect your rebuke though, my fellow hito.
Daft Kerplunk Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Schneiderlin Wanyama Alderweireld It shows where our strengths are that these dudes are in the majority of top current Saints list, and why we we're more vulnerable when those three aren't available. Three top players at the core of a really good team when they are fit and playing
Tokyo-Saint Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Maya Yoshida is a very key player which is why he signed another 3 years with the Club Southampton. Exactly, all the other players got a 5year deal. They had to bring out special terms for Yoshi to include his free transfer in 2 years plus splinter bonus as an unused sub. Btw, octoporn can be found in the Muppet show every 2nd Friday and most public holidays. See you there!
