angelman Posted 2 February, 2015 Share Posted 2 February, 2015 Anyone know how everyone is progressing? http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Seems we are top of the league with the number of injuries, but we know that Gallagher is back up and running so not sure how accurate this is? Are Toby, Vic and Morgan due back for QPR?
Wes Tender Posted 2 February, 2015 Share Posted 2 February, 2015 We've got more injuries than any other team? Who would have thought it? The pundits hardly ever mention it, even though they are right on the ball in detailing the injuries that any other team has that is facing us. So when we have a reverse which could be excused because of those injuries in key positions, it is simply a case that the bubble has burst, Southampton are being found out, normal service in the hierarchy is being restored. But when Toby, Wanyama, Schneiderlin return and we start firing on all cylinders once more, then they will be scratching their heads wondering what brought about the change. Grigsy Posted 2 February, 2015 Share Posted 2 February, 2015 Lots more muscle injuries since Radcliffe went to Man Utd. Last season we had the least amount of muscle strain injuries in the league despite a very high intensity playing style.

It's just that we're not box office. Never have been and probably never will be.

Could all be coincidence but makes you wonder.

Charlie Wayman Posted 2 February, 2015 Share Posted 2 February, 2015 Ok but Maya has become a superb player during the last few months and played brilliantly in the Asia Cup so if Toby isn't quite ready then don't let's force the issue through panic. Having Morgan & Victor back at Loftus Road will be a real tonic for the team and fans and with Steven Davis in the form of his life yesterday it shouldn't be necessary to worry about the back line. It will be a good time for Matt Targett to show his worth especially with the QPR fast right wingers running at him all the time.
Patrick Bateman Posted 2 February, 2015 Share Posted 2 February, 2015 I thought we were supposed to have amazing treatment and preventative measures in place? How come we end up with so many more injuries to key players? (This season and last) Are we over-doing it? Our players always look far fitter than other teams, but that might come with a price!? I'm not an expert, I have no idea, just speculating.

That is not to say that they contribute in any way to our plethora of recent injuries though, perhaps it's the juggling.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 2 February, 2015 Share Posted 2 February, 2015 Bit harsh to blame the back room staff and contrast to last season. Doubt if victor would have played in cup had Poch been manager this year . MS and TA went to the world cup, so that may have affected things. You can only look at long term trends, way too early to judge.
