Roger Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Is it true he's back and training? When will he be able to be on the bench?
Saint Charlie Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Koeman said he is training with the u21s. He has been out for the whole season so I wouldn't expect much from him first team wise.
Turkish Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 What injury has he had? It's all very hush hush.
Norm Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 What injury has he had? It's all very hush hush. Would it change anything if you knew?
Turkish Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Would it change anything if you knew? No norm, just strange he's been out for months and no one seems to know why.
LGTL Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 What injury has he had? It's all very hush hush. Do wonder myself whether it was actually a physical injury. Hope he's back soon whatever it is.
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Hopefully he'll get some game time out on loan
SuperMikey Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 What injury has he had? It's all very hush hush. He's had a couple of operations on his knee, so I would assume it's something with that. Don't think it's been officially clarified but tbf the lad's had a tough year with his Dad passing so I don't think we'd put too much pressure on him.

Add to that his dad passing away and it's been a tough year for the lad.
Redslo Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Do wonder myself whether it was actually a physical injury. Hope he's back soon whatever it is. I hope so. Many footballers never recover from possession by evil spirits.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 I think there is a chance he will be involved in tonight's U21 game at Chelsea
Goatboy Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 I think there is a chance he will be involved in tonight's U21 game at Chelsea Will there be a stream for this game?
Delboy Dave Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 I hope so. Many footballers never recover from possession by evil spirits. I think it might be something to do with the fact his Dad died near the end of last season...
trousers Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 (edited) [video=youtube_share;PcNVGr6aSyU] Is that Gallagher in the middle? Edited 2 February, 2015 by trousers
disconnect Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 [video=youtube_share;PcNVGr6aSyU] Is that Gallagher in the middle? Yep, hope he gets a run out tonight or in the near future. Would be good to have another option for sure!
Saint_clark Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 I think it might be something to do with the fact his Dad died near the end of last season... He played quite a few times after that though (which happened in february by the way). He only missed the Stoke game and was back after that.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Simon Peach has just tweeted that Sam Gallagher makes his return from injury tonight for the U21s.
Saint_Ash Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Simon Peach has just tweeted that Sam Gallagher makes his return from injury tonight for the U21s. Great news. Be a decent option on the bench for the final 3rd of the season.
Saint Garrett Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Makes sense that we're not in for another striker, however I wouldn't like to have to rely on him for a long period if Pelle got injured.
angelman Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Makes sense that we're not in for another striker, however I wouldn't like to have to rely on him for a long period if Pelle got injured. Depends....as things stand, we've still got more than a good chance of finishing in CL positions. If we didn't, and being safe, I would definitely advocate bedding in what we already have. I am not sure about others, but he didn't look like he had a killer touch last season. But what do I know? The Club were happy to offer him a contract so obviously see/know more than I do.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 @SouthamptonFC: #SaintsFCU21s team vs @ChelseaFC: Britt, Flannigan, Wood, Gape, Mugabi, McCarthy, Demkiv, Hesketh, Gallagher, Seager, Sinclair.
Saint_clark Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Come on Sam, big impact tonight and on the bench V QPR.
Give it to Ron Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 @SouthamptonFC: #SaintsFCU21s team vs @ChelseaFC: Britt, Flannigan, Wood, Gape, Mugabi, McCarthy, Demkiv, Hesketh, Gallagher, Seager, Sinclair. Solanke and Brown for them are very decent and ones to watch for the future.
Sheaf Saint Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 He played quite a few times after that though (which happened in february by the way). He only missed the Stoke game and was back after that. Yeah because it only takes missing one game to completely get over the death of your father doesn't it.

trousers Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Isgrove not included. I guess he must be injured given he wasn't part of the senior squad yesterday either.
krissyboy31 Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Isgrove not included. I guess he must be injured given he wasn't part of the senior squad yesterday either. Said he pulled out from yesterday's squad with a late injury.
simo Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Isgrove not included. I guess he must be injured given he wasn't part of the senior squad yesterday either. Pulled out just before the game hence the 6 subs
krissyboy31 Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Will there be a stream for this game? It's live on Chelsea TV.
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 @SouthamptonFC: #SaintsFCU21s team vs @ChelseaFC: Britt, Flannigan, Wood, Gape, Mugabi, McCarthy, Demkiv, Hesketh, Gallagher, Seager, Sinclair. Speaking of Sinclair ? Wasnt he on loan at Hibs ?
krissyboy31 Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Speaking of Sinclair ? Wasnt he on loan at Hibs ? Yes. Came back last month and has played a few U21 games since he's been back.
S-Clarke Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Speaking of Sinclair ? Wasnt he on loan at Hibs ? Yeah they cancelled it, he didn't feature much for them. 3 apps I think. Reckon he'll be off to a lower league side soon.
Give it to Ron Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Chelsea 2 nil up after 13 minutes that Brown scored who I mentioned above he is quality...
rudi7s Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 http://live.drakulastream.eu/static/popups/27034406211650.html decent stream
Saint_clark Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Yeah because it only takes missing one game to completely get over the death of your father doesn't it. Clearly not what i meant. My point was that he was alright to play towards the end of last season and put in decent performances, it doesn't add up that he would miss almost an entire season now because of it. He was injured, that's all.
angelman Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Our U21 aren't doing very well at 5-0 after 35 mins
Saint Charlie Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Half the team have appeared for the first team too: McCarthy, Gape, Hesketh, Gallagher, Seager.

angelman Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Have to wonder whether Seagar is much more realistic in the 1st XI than Gallagher. Bloody good goal.

He was injured, that's all. And you have clearly missed my point. Grief affects different people in different ways, and often with a delayed effect. Just because he was able to play in the short term after his bereavement, doesn't mean it can't still be affecting him mentally.

Just because he was able to play in the short term after his bereavement, doesn't mean it can't still be affecting him mentally. This is very true............
