QPR Vs Southampton Build Up

They gave us a tough game at SMS. No reason to think they won't this time round. I'd have been more confident if this twitchy business hadn't happened.
Agreed. They've got some decent players, play alright at home and tested us a lot at home. Can't see this being easy at all.

Players who were frozen out by twitchy saggy chops will be in contention to play, Taarabt, SWP etc but hopefully they will be well off the pace. We should be winning this game really. Play like we did against Swansea but with Mane and Elia either side of Pelle with Morgan alongside Reed in the middle with Vic coming on in the latter stages to sure up the midfield.

Although they are at home, do we think QPR might change tactics, sit back and hit us on the break or hope for a goal from set pieces? Swansea will not have escaped their notice. If so, then the onus is back on creating and finishing and the first goal will be important.

I think he is just shy on-camera to be honest

I'm not sure that camerashyness is the reason for his bad attitude on the pitch. The Man Utd game was ridiculous, and not the only game where he's come across as a whinging sh*t. He's similar to another talented but lightweight attacking midfielder we used to have in that sense.

Clearly I was talking about the "seems dull off the pitch" comment. Oh Jack.

I'll say it again...

At worse a loss this weekend would see Saints 3 points off 4th, a loss could also see Saints still 4th on Sunday evening.

I fail to see how that would give us no chance as you claim.

Seeing as you said it twice, you mean at "worst" - the superlative, not "worse" the comparative which is only used when there's one thing out of two better than it.

Any suggestions for a pub to watch the spurs v aresenal match before game and poss scouser derby afterwards? My train times mean I will have a lot of pub time in between and http://www.footballgroundguide.com/queens_park_rangers/ says no pubs close to the ground, have to go up to Shepherds Bush (which means a longs walk or buses/tubes again).

The Westfield at White City has a bunch of bars at the end near the bus station, last time I went we had a good chat to some QPR fans about how cack Mark Hughes was after the game, they were all really positive about Redknapp coming in to keep them up, we put them straight... Can't remember if the bar(s) had tv with a match on though.

Expecting to see some variation in tactics today. Koeman and his coaching team know very well what was wrong last week, Koeman talking about a lack of sharpness in the area. They will have worked on that this week, so it will be interesting to see the outcome.

Now I have been very confident that if we play like we did last week we will win. But then I have spoken to non-saints fans and they are all predicting a QPR win. Now these are people that the rest of the season have been saying mostly a Saints win..... Now I am not sure why this is, could it be because we lost at home to Swansea?

Anyway I am thinking away win, cannot see any other result.

It could be becasue we've lost 2 successive home games yes but we lost those games because our midfield was woefully weak against robust sides, to boot last weeek we were poor in front of goal. Today we should be back to par so we should be OK.

If we can't win today against rudderless and talentless QPR, we can't hope to qualify for the Champions League in my opinion. We've failed to invest in a striker. The Boardroom failed to gamble and dig deep.

Unless Koeman can successfully retrain Mane to be the next Kevin Phillips, I fail to see the clinical striking power needed to qualify.

We shall see though... we shall see. If Saints fans can hit Champions League on Soccer AM, anything is possible! :)
