Saint-Armstrong Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Daniella Matar is an Italian sport journalist, working for the Associated Press in Milan. @DaniellaMatar: Great news #saintsfc fans - #Inter have given you Osvaldo back! @DaniellaMatar: Don't worry #saintsfc fans. Osvaldo's prob off to #Juventus soon anyways. And if not, just do what #Inter are doing - sue him for 28m! So... now what? I get the impression Ron wants to keep him as far away from the squad as possible. Hopefully the Juventus loan materialises sharpish.
Saint_clark Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Dont let him into the training ground and get rid asap.
Faz Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Could be the solution to our lack of striking options.........
Totton Sotton Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 If it helps I had a dream he came back and netted a brace To make it 2-2 after coming off the bench... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
itchen_dan Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Swap him for Vilhena http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2934475/Southampton-intervene-discussions-Dani-Osvaldo-Serie-clubs-Inter-Milan-Juventus.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
itchen_dan Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Will go down as our worst signing in history Vegard Forren still tops my list on that one. At least both Osvaldo and Dia actually played.
beatlesaint Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Why oh why did we sign such a bloody nut job. This business about looking at the players character etc before signing them clearly didn't apply with this ****.
Badger Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Swap him for Vilhena http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2934475/Southampton-intervene-discussions-Dani-Osvaldo-Serie-clubs-Inter-Milan-Juventus.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 What have Feyenoord done to deserve that ?
Convict Colony Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 What have Feyenoord done to deserve that ? Benifica would have him and he might be able to survive from an ego perspective.
Convict Colony Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Surely we have some sort of behavioural standards or clauses in our contracts ? I presume we haven't enforced them as we don't want to write off the loss.
Batman Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Vegard Forren still tops my list on that one. At least both Osvaldo and Dia actually played. Forren was peanuts This fella is our all time record signing
Dellman Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Poch had handled him before and thought he could do again, I guess it was after this fiasco that our vetting of character system was given more attention, now we seem to have a manager a bit more realistic about himself and who he wants:
Saxon Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 He is The original turd that won't flush indeed he is If Juve take him that would be amazing. F*ck knows what happens in the summer with him!
captainchris Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Wasn't even very good on the pitch......
melmacian_saint Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 How many loans left before we let him go?
Under Weststand Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Can they just unilaterally decide to send him back? When they signed an agreement for a season long loan. Surely they would need some agreement from us to just send him back?
1576 Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Will go down as our worst signing in history I take it you never saw Lee Todd in a Saints shirt?
Bearsy Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Has anyone done the Koeman joke yet? If Anyone Can Get Him Firing!
Boondock Saint Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Will go down as our worst signing in history Ali Dia, surely! Or was he not actually signed?
Saint_clark Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Can they just unilaterally decide to send him back? When they signed an agreement for a season long loan. Surely they would need some agreement from us to just send him back? Probably just a clause that says they can terminate the loan whenever they want.
Window Cleaner Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Probably just a clause that says they can terminate the loan whenever they want. As we did with Taider, it was bound to happen.
Wade Garrett Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Wouldn't want that c*nt anywhere near the club.
Batman Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 I take it you never saw Lee Todd in a Saints shirt? He cost almost nothing in comparison
Redslo Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 How many loans left before we let him go? Somewhere between 0 and five.
Suhari Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Has anyone done the Koeman joke yet? If Anyone Can Get Him Firing! Damn you! I was scrolling down the thread getting increasingly excited about the chance to use this timeless observation. Fook it: has Skacel signed yet?
Wade Garrett Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 I don't think even Ron can work his magic with Osvaldo. He's an absolute basket case.
cellone Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Lol at peeps making him out to be the most evil man on the planet.
doddisalegend Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Drop him off outside White Hart line with a big bow tied round him and a note saying "Dear Mauricio you wanted him so he is all yours (no charge) love Saints"
rooney Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 The Black Box and the analysts did not suss him out.
Saint031 Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 What have Feyenoord done to deserve that ? Well we are stuck with god damn Colin Kazim-Richards now, is he worse than that?
Matthew Le God Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Will go down as our worst signing in history Ali Dia, surely! Or was he not actually signed? If Ali Dia wasn't signed by Saints he couldn't play in a Premier League game.
Matthew Le God Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Swap him for Vilhena http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2934475/Southampton-intervene-discussions-Dani-Osvaldo-Serie-clubs-Inter-Milan-Juventus.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 What have Feyenoord done to deserve that ? Well we are stuck with god damn Colin Kazim-Richards now, is he worse than that? Osvaldo is a very talented player (Saints wouldn't be loaning him to the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus if he wasn't), the problem is he is a mentalist, does crazy things and keeps being chased out of clubs...
Huffton Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Scored a cracking goal, and had an even better celebration to go with it!
Suhari Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Swap for Charlie Austin (and chuck a brown bag full at Saggychops to make sure it happens).
the saint in winchester Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Will go down as our worst signing in history Worse than Tommy Forecast?
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 If he was a car I'd drive him into a lamp post and claim the insurance money.
nta786 Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Swap for Charlie Austin (and chuck a brown bag full at Saggychops to make sure it happens). If only we could do this lol. Even better, we should offer to him to Barcelona as a sweetener for getting Messi?
Patrick Bateman Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Why don't we agree to pay the c**t off and let him be a free agent? We spunked a shed load of money on the stupid tw*t, but lessons learned and all that.
ART Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 I'm beginning to think Jack Cork read that Osvaldo was on his way back to Saints and decided to jump ship. If indeed he was to return I believe we'd have every member of the squad up for transfer. I can see this saga going on for another 10 years till Osvaldo finally retires.

How could it possibly go on for 10 years ART? Is Dani leaving his kids at St Marys?

I wasn't aware he'd signed a 10 year contract.
a1ex2001 Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Why don't we agree to pay the c**t off and let him be a free agent? We spunked a shed load of money on the stupid tw*t, but lessons learned and all that. Because when we loan him out we get a fee and/or they pay his wages saving us a fortune compared to paying up the remainder of his contract and one day river plate will offer us a fee so we can minimise the loss we inevitably take on him!
jawillwill Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 I'm beginning to think Jack Cork read that Osvaldo was on his way back to Saints and decided to jump ship. If indeed he was to return I believe we'd have every member of the squad up for transfer. I can see this saga going on for another 10 years till Osvaldo finally retires. I'm with you ART! Although I think I'd take it further - I wouldn't be at all surprised if this went on for the next 70-80 years. If he comes back now, surely everyone else in the club would want out immediately giving Dani free reign of the club. He could make himself player manager, and nobody would dare question it. Katarina would probably be forced to hand over the club to him and he would be able to sign his own army of loonies to play for us and create a legacy which could take decades to undo. He will probably get in a fight the Ted Bates statue before tearing it down and replacing it with one of himself. After all the good work that the club have done in the past few years, this could bring it all crashing down again. It's worryingly like Germany just before Hitler turned up.
