whelk Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 If anyone's interested. Never drunk a pint of lager in his life http://www.theguardian.com/football/video/2015/jan/29/matt-le-tissier-video-interview?CMP=share_btn_tw
Leslie Charteris Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 I was going to post this but someone had beaten us to it. Nothing new here except for that tit-bit - Malibu and Coke?
The Cat Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 A link to his best 3 goals recreated in Lego are underneath that interview too.
CB Fry Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 A link to his best 3 goals recreated in Lego are underneath that interview too. They were good. Seemed like a lot of faff for that Guardian journo to schlep to Southampton for a five minute interview. I wonder if there is a longer form/written up version coming, but it looks like he does a lot of five minute interviews with 90s footballers.
Turkish Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 Does anyone else just wish MLT would STFU?? I haven't watched it but I assume he was asked how it feels to have given his career to southampton FC but to be considered by a lot of fans as just an employee who was paid to do a job? What was his answer?

Glendenning looked hammered, I could almost smell his hangover breath through the screen of my laptop.

Guardian strapped for cash and seems a bit of a waste of money. Left me wanting more and could have at least panned round his house showing toilets, how many bottles of Malibu he has in stock etc. Dunno why but I reckon he might have gnomes in his garden as well and would have been good to see.
mcjwills Posted 30 January, 2015 Posted 30 January, 2015 I was going to post this but someone had beaten us to it. Nothing new here except for that tit-bit - Malibu and Coke? That surprises me that you did not know about the Malibu and Coke, as when he was going out with the girl from Home and Away he was known as Malibu Matt

supersonic Posted 30 January, 2015 Posted 30 January, 2015 He also has a documentary coming out on Sky about him soon
whelk Posted 30 January, 2015 Author Posted 30 January, 2015 BG bemoans how the suits reduced his 40 min chat to 5 mins on Football Weekly podcast. Said he was brilliant and also had fig roll s in biscuit tin. Helpful as heard someone might be going on Mastermind with MLT as specialist subject

What was his answer? Probably in a very small minority with that view

He said on his podcast that it was a lot longer but the bigwigs decided for these videos to be 4.5 mins long.
