KingdomCome Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Looks great...against what seem to be utterly gash defenders. Be interesting to see how much of an impact Koeman will have on this guy, considering his fairly poor recent record
david in sweden Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 (edited) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNXLKzt2rT0 A two-footed striker with a bit of pace about him (for a change) that should be fun. Nice to see him score from the rebounds at 1:01 ....and the last one at 3:50 This could work out well. He'll have company with Dusan. When we were in the Prem. before it often worked well to buy 'em in pairs. The Norwegians; Lundekvam, Tessem and even Ostenstad. Latvians; Pahars and Bleidilis, (then of course we had Svensson and Svensson) and a whole raft of Swedes afterwards. Koeman must be having a field day, it's not many managers who get to buy a whole new squad...wonder if we are going to get any more Dutchmen at all? NOTE: Wikipedia says that Mainz have a loan agreement that suggested they could buy him for 12 million EUROS. a bit more like our price range - if he's any good. doggface Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Crook's dismissed it. Put ur money on it happening.

david in sweden Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Hopefully, because I heard his scoring record isn't impressive. perhaps goes back to a conversation on another thread. Maybe a good player (?) ......but in wrong side with wrong formation to get the best out of him. maybe not good to pre-judge him too harshly before he's even kicked a ball, though.
Wade Garrett Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Hopefully, because I heard his scoring record isn't impressive. Don't worry, Ron will get him back on his game.
david in sweden Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 We've only signed one Dutchman - Eljero Elia. SO FAR;) ...........it's only Wednesday.
trousers Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNXLKzt2rT0 Anyone got any footage of this chap playing against a team that can defend?
SNSUN Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 How many accents does he have in his name FFS! It'll take me forever to learn those! Sod it, copy and paste is easier. Đuričić
david in sweden Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 (edited) Mmm....around 2 hours since this story broke on here, but neither Sky or the Beeb have come in with their..... Breaking news and EXCLUSIVE report....... yet. ......and worst of all, it's not even on the Saints OS yet either. The media team must have gone home early ...... Crazy Diamond Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Come on guys, if you are going to post a link to this, please attach a youtube one as well. Someone needs to 'do a De Ridder' sharpish.
dubai_phil Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Lol. Only on TSW. We must sign a Striker. We are doomed if we don't sign a Striker. We don't want to bloat our Squad, we need to loan a striker. We're loaning a Striker. "I'm Out" "His Stats aren't very good" "His scoring record isn't good" FFS what do people want?!
Crazy Diamond Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 what does his girlfriend look like ? Baseball player was once asked "Mr. Robinson, what's your wife's name, what does she like?" "Her name is Mrs. Robinson and she likes me" he replied.

Delboy Dave Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 If anyone can get him firing Koeman can! Unimpressive scoring record since leaving Holland.
CityRanger Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNXLKzt2rT0 Look class. More of a J-Rod running at defences with the occasional Le Tiss wondergoal thrown in. Sign him immediately and build the team around him.
Saint Charlie Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 No others sources have mentioned this. Its pretty low on the reliability scale.
Bewildered Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Alex Goring Crook @alex_crook · 1h 1 hour ago Am led to believe Djuricic to #saintsfc is unlikely to happen but things do change quickly this time of year.... Saintsweb journalist of the year Alex Crook says it is not true, so we may never know if RK can get him firing again, despite his unimpressive scoring record outside of Holland.
Highfield Saint Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 If he signs and turns out to be a dud can we call him "Filip-flop"
DT Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Looks good to me. Good feet, excellent balance, pretty good pace. What's not to like?
davefizzy14 Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Saintsweb journalist of the year Alex Crook says it is not true, so we may never know if RK can get him firing again, despite his unimpressive scoring record outside of Holland. Well if this isnt true, hopefully Koeman will pull off another marquee signing. WE were linked with Quintero from Porto earlier this month, that would be amazing!
Bobbyboy Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Looks good to me. Good feet, excellent balance, pretty good pace. What's not to like? What's not to like? His scoring record, tbh. Although RK might be the one to get him firing if anyone can.
Bucks Saint Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Been patchy to say the least in recent years, apparently. Maybe he will benefit from Ron's brand of coaching, might help improve him
simo Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Anyone looking at scoring records needs to have a look at Elia's before he came here !
Coxford_lou Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Saintsweb journalist of the year Alex Crook says it is not true, so we may never know if RK can get him firing again, despite his unimpressive scoring record outside of Holland. That's such a fence sitting response. In other words - he hasn't got a clue!
shurlock Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 (edited) there we go. the striker we were after Is he a striker, though? Alot of assumptions and perhaps wishful thinking here. Just because the mongboard has stomped its feet and decreed we need a striker doesnt mean RK thinks we need one. Perhaps RK feels we need some more creativity, a 'proper no.10'. Certainly, reading up about this fella, he doesn't strike me as an out-an-out striker; by the same token, goals may not necessarily the best way to judge him. Edited 28 January, 2015 by shurlock
Dark Munster Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 If nothing else, he'll be the first Saints' player whose name begins with a Đ.

Wes Tender Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 His recent scoring record doesn't look great. But perhaps Koeman can get him firing on all cylinders again.
svetac Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Djuricic had several training sessions at Manchester United 6 years ago. http://www.redcafe.net/threads/djuricic-on-trail.231534/
CB Fry Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 The only question mark for me is whether our manager can get him firing again.
Lighthouse Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 He has had an excellent scoring record since leaving Holland, although I fear his form will dip significantly under Koeman.

Thanks, looks awesome think I might sign him for Telford who I've just won the world club cup with for the 8th season in a row.
supergoose Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 I'm surprised that nobody else has noticed his relatively poor strike rate. I'm just hoping that the coaching team (led by Ron) may be able to work on his technique and raise this to a suitable level.

pap Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Thanks, looks awesome think I might sign him for Telford who I've just won the world club cup with for the 8th season in a row. Means nothing. If you'd have won the World Club with the non-union Mexican alternative (Telfordo?) your fans might have cared. As it stands, this Midlands New Town powerhouse would probably take you to the nearest courtroom with a view for getting you hanged. World Club Cup. Europeans don't care about it. Frankly, I'm appalled at having to correct you on this matter.
scotty Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 Don't worry, Ron will get him back on his game. You must be psychic Wade, that's just exactly what I was thinking!! I thought "if anyone will get him scoring, it'll be Big Ron."
SNSUN Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 If he's better than Ryan Smith and Anthony Pulis, I'm on board.

I'm just hoping that the coaching team (led by Ron) may be able to work on his technique and raise this to a suitable level. In case you hadn't noticed Elia had a terrible scoring rate before he joined but Koeman has turned this around in quick time. His not at all fortunate match winning brace at Newcastle is testament to our manager who, having seen Tim Krul's weakness of dealing with balls hit straight at him, told Elia to drill one directly at the keeper and then aim a shot at a defenders leg so it would deflect just inside the post. If Ronald can do the same with this new chap then Man City won't have a chance of finishing 2nd.
Wade Garrett Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 He hasn't got a great scoring record. Maybe Koeman thinks he can dig a few goals from him.

And not a back-up/replacement for Pelle, which is what a fair few of us think would be useful. It is interesting if we do sign him; Iknow a fair few like to be critical of Pelle's finishing, but I don't think its too bad and its been our creativity that has let us down at times, particularly recently, this bloke looks more of a solution to that problem. Cheaper wages than Ramirez, but a similar player?
