pap Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 But never in the way you intended and certainly not when you originally promised and definitely not for the price you quoted I've been in this game 20 years now. That there describes years 2 to 3 Around the ten year mark, you have enough experience with scope creep to point out change like it has just burst through the plate-glass windows on a flaming motorcycle and burst into song, singing "change! change is here again! It takes time to cha-----nge. Change.". It's a skill.

bridge too far Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Is that your leg then, Bridge Too Far? Eh?
bridge too far Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 I think your picture?- OIC! *Doh - I'm slow on the uptake tonight* . Wish it was my leg -I was too tall for ballet
Coxford_lou Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 - OIC! Doh - no it's not - I was too tall for ballet So what kind of dance did you do? I think dancers are amazing. I can't dance for toffee.
Dr Who? Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 - OIC! Doh - no it's not - I was too tall for ballet Can you be to tall for ballet? My daughter loves it, she is 6 but tall for her age.
bridge too far Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 So what kind of dance did you do? I think dancers are amazing. I can't dance for toffee. All sorts - cabaret, show dancing, tap dancing, jazz, contemporary. But ballet is my love - just wish my mother had put a brick on my head so I never grew beyond 5ft 4!
Coxford_lou Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 All sorts - cabaret, show dancing, tap dancing, jazz, contemporary. But ballet is my love - just wish my mother had put a brick on my head so I never grew beyond 5ft 4! I always think of ballet dancers as tall athletic creatures... And do you still dance?
bridge too far Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Can you be to tall for ballet? My daughter loves it, she is 6 but tall for her age. Not so much an issue these days as male ballet dancers are taller than they used to be. That was always the problem - the girls, when en pointe, couldn't be taller than their male partners. A current prima ballerina of world renown, Sylvie Guillem, is 5ft 8
bridge too far Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 I always think of ballet dancers as tall athletic creatures... And do you still dance? Only with the grandchildren now - I had a bad skiing accident that damaged one knee and then last year I managed to bugger up the other one. So the spirit's there but fear kicks in these days!
