Crab Lungs Posted 22 January, 2015 Share Posted 22 January, 2015 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/eljero-elia-tells-southampton-boss-5025621 I like the cut of his jib. Saints not good enough for Lovren, Lallana but definitely good enough for Eljero ?

CB Fry Posted 22 January, 2015 Share Posted 22 January, 2015 I literally don't know whether to bite at this trolling or not Your best bet is to say you're really busy right now, but a bit later tonight you'll respond in full with everything you know. Then actually do it six days later.
Charlie Wayman Posted 22 January, 2015 Share Posted 22 January, 2015 Have any of you considered it possible that Steve de Ridder might have been firkin brilliant under Ron? Maybe we could learn from Elia's unhappy tale of woe.
Turkish Posted 22 January, 2015 Share Posted 22 January, 2015 I literally don't know whether to bite at this trolling or not Post something about us having no intention of permanently signing this league one standard player anyway but we'll get a nice statement on the official site as to why not. Fitzhugh Fella Posted 22 January, 2015 Share Posted 22 January, 2015 Bit early for this sort of rubbish. One good game means nothing, he needs to get his head down, work hard and deliver on the pitch and then maybe talk to the tabloid press.

One good game means nothing, he needs to get his head down, work hard and deliver on the pitch and then maybe talk to the tabloid press. I think it's more about attitude and ambition at this stage and it seems from his reaction after scoring his first goal that he has both. Only time will tell if he can deliver consistently but it's a great start.
SaintsAhoy Posted 22 January, 2015 Share Posted 22 January, 2015 I think it's a lovely article and I'm a cold hearted bastard. Warms me cockles, so it does. If his actions match his words (not literally), he may prove very important to our CL push.

Saint Billy Posted 22 January, 2015 Share Posted 22 January, 2015 Blimey, the apathy on here! If nothing else he saved us from a possible defeat at Newcastle with so many missing. I really hope it happens for him as a saint.

westofshannonsaint Posted 23 January, 2015 Share Posted 23 January, 2015 Yeah, this. The words, while pleasing, are currently meaningless. In fairness, at the end of the article, Ahead of Southampton’ fourth round FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace tomorrow, he said: “Now the real work starts. “I don’t want to be a one day wonder in the Premier League. I want to give a massive impression over a long period here, like I did in my best days in Europe and with Holland. “I am going to show my class so that this club will decide to buy me. I am praying they will keep me!’’ I hope he keeps to his word & I don't remember a player praying to stay at Saints before. Forecast and Ali Dia probably did but I don't recall them saying it publicly.
