Just one of the several away ground guides for you: http://www.footballgroundguide.com/southampton/index.htm#St-Marys-Stadium-Southampton-Pubs Yates / Slug are about 8 mins walk from the station, on the way to the ground, and hence are the most popular, but you need to allow another 15 to get there. Ocean Village is further from the station but nearer to the ground, if you arrive earlier and fancy somewhere nicer / less rammed

You'll be bunged in Yates' (if you're not careful) as it's the designated away fans pub, they'll even stick red & blue balloons up for you. If you slip away, the OB have a high presence around there, you'll find a few others that will be mixed but generally OK in that area.
