We do always seem to have such a nice welcoming team - I'm sure that's played a big part in our quick success this year. And means a lot to me too!
ericofarabia Posted 20 January, 2015 Posted 20 January, 2015 Phew ... at first glance, and not totally paying attention to the screen (my weetabix was priority #1) I thought the Thread tittle was "Southampton's Mane Missing" WTF ..... gone AWOL or kidnapped ... oh noes!! Luckily my eyes refocused and panic over.

Bucks Saint Posted 20 January, 2015 Posted 20 January, 2015 Just the same as SRL except he has not told the Mail
tartan_saint Posted 20 January, 2015 Posted 20 January, 2015 Mongom[/b]. ‘But I’m happy because I’m watching them every, every game, and I’m happy for the team. I think a few posters on here grew up there...
Andy Durman Posted 21 January, 2015 Posted 21 January, 2015 Now it all becomes clear Arnoutovic who now plays by Stoke is a notorious bad boy in football and Elias falling off the rails seems to coincide with their friendship. Arnoutovic is also an incredible talent with a small brain. Elias has landed on his feet with Ronald.
Goatboy Posted 21 January, 2015 Posted 21 January, 2015 Poor Sadio. First Elia slides seamlessly into his first team slot (oo-er missus) and now he has hijacked his thread.
Charlie Wayman Posted 21 January, 2015 Posted 21 January, 2015 At last we have players who seem to believe it to be a privilege to play for Saints. Pochettino's legacy was a squad of mercenaries who couldn't wait to jump ship thus devaluing the club in the eyes of the world, now we have a guy in charge whom players are queuing up to die for. What a contrast and what a change.
cellone Posted 21 January, 2015 Posted 21 January, 2015 Poor Sadio. First Elia slides seamlessly into his first team slot (oo-er missus) and now he has hijacked his thread. Think Rickie Lah got crowbarred in there too.
Lorne Malvo Posted 23 January, 2015 Posted 23 January, 2015 Some of the pitches haven't been that good so far, worry for Mane twisting and turning on them.
doddisalegend Posted 23 January, 2015 Author Posted 23 January, 2015 From the BBC South Africa 0-0 Senegal Posted at 4 mins Senegal's Sadio Mane makes a good driving run from midfield and Thulani Hlatshwayo does really well to intercept his attempted through-ball. Posted at 27 mins Sadio Mane has be industrious for Senegal so far, and it looks like South Africa are doubling up on him.
kpturner Posted 23 January, 2015 Posted 23 January, 2015 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2916748/Eljero-Elia-scored-twice-Southampton-win-Newcastle-United-controversial-character-grateful-fresh-start-Premier-League.html Wrong link??
VectisSaint Posted 23 January, 2015 Posted 23 January, 2015 Starts tonight v S Africa So injury was not so bad after all
Huffton Posted 23 January, 2015 Posted 23 January, 2015 When I saw the title I thought this was a thread about his passing ability...
Bucks Saint Posted 23 January, 2015 Posted 23 January, 2015 Mane scored but was disallowed. Finished 1-1
gary3009 Posted 23 January, 2015 Posted 23 January, 2015 So if Senegal lose to Algeria and there is a winner between South Africa and Ghana,Mane will be back for the Swansea game.
Dark Munster Posted 23 January, 2015 Posted 23 January, 2015 Come on Algeria! Come on S. Africa! Or Ghana.
saint si Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Only needs another goal in either game for SA to be level with Senegal on goal diff...
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Hard not to see Senegal scoring to be fair, but Algeria will try to do them on the break.
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Mane subbed off....very suprising, easily been their most dangerous player.
shurlock Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Mane subbed off....very suprising, easily been their most dangerous player. Yep, odd substitution.
angelman Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 SA 1-1 now So Ghana equal with Senegal for 2= place. Same GD as well.
angelman Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Ghana hit the post http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/30659974
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Any goals in the last 10mins or so could have a massive impact.
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Bentaleb for Algeria. Think that means Senegal currently 3rd on GD? Great strike, he is a really good player. Edit: Apparently needs another Ghana goal for some reason.
trousers Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Bentaleb for Algeria. Think that means Senegal currently 3rd on GD? . Yep (I think!)
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Get in!! Hold on Ghana and Mane could play versus Swansea.
trousers Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Welcome home Mane Someone get him on a plane first thing tomorrow
angelman Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 I think now Ghana are 2-1 up and Senegal 2-0 down is might all be over for the Senegalese.
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Is head to head valued over GD in this tournament or did the commentators just not know the correct standings? When Algeria went 2-0 and Ghana was 1-1 Ghana were ahead on GD but not going through?
doddisalegend Posted 27 January, 2015 Author Posted 27 January, 2015 Good Mane can get back here and play for the team who plays his wages we need him.
angelman Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Is head to head valued over GD in this tournament or did the commentators just not know the correct standings? When Algeria went 2-0 and Ghana was 1-1 Ghana were ahead on GD but not going through? Yup, it's head to head, although academic now. Group D tomorrow is the interesting one. They've all been draws so far.
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Yup, it's head to head, although academic now. Group D tomorrow is the interesting one. They've all been draws so far. Would it be a suprise if Toure and Bony are crap, Ivory Coast lose, then they play for City against Chelsea at the weekend?
Saint Charlie Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Ghana win. Senegal out and Mane back to Saints.
saint77 Posted 27 January, 2015 Posted 27 January, 2015 Mane back for the QPR game good stuff Swansea surely
