TBF I don't think it's the dad's fault that he is being taken to court over it! I deal with people like this all the time and the best thing is just to ignore it. alpine_saint Posted 19 January, 2015 Share Posted 19 January, 2015 Come on, how long does it take to decline a party by SMS ? I've taken one of my kids to parties several times where half the kids dont turn up and its heartbreaking seeing the birthday kids and parents faces alike. If they knew this kid wasnt coming, they had time to invite another. Invoicing and small-claims court does seem a bit OTT though.
iansums Posted 19 January, 2015 Author Share Posted 19 January, 2015 Both parents are at fault IMO. I know how annoying it is when you don't get a reply when you're trying to arrange something for 20 kids. However you have to be a bit of a weirdo to send an invoice and just as much of one to go running to the media. I'd like to be outside that primary school at 3pm this afternoon, not in a paedo way of course!

The Dad has been thoughtless here no doubt- and on the radio earlier he admitted to being disorganised. It's the massively OTT reaction from the mother that is the issue here. CB Saint Posted 19 January, 2015 Share Posted 19 January, 2015 Ok the kids parents are guilty of bad manners for not declining the invitation. But to send an invoice - WOW. It would be worth going to court just to see the judge laugh his cock off.
