Was at the O2 ;ast night. Reckon his condition is more serious than they're letting on. He never replies to questions about his injury.

He's had a a back injury and a thing/groin injury as far as I'm aware. Taking a while as had a few set backs, club are putting him under zero pressure due to importance in physical development.

I'm looking forward to seeing him back. He showed some very good signs last year and could mean we don't have to go in and buy another striker in the summer.

His father passed away last year. Wonder whether he's also had personal issues (understandably) since then combined with an injury.

Can see him thriving under Koeman.

No back or groin problems

He is very near to being ready to play and could be picked as early as next Saturday

Is he back training yet mate? How'd you know as respect you.

Would have made a much better replacement for Pelle up top than Long, might have even gone through in the league cup had he been fit.

From what I've seen of Sam he isn't a target man he seems to prefer to play on the shoulder of defenders and turn them rather than playing with his back to goal.

Yes but he is quite tall and therefore clearly the PERFECT replacement for Graziano Pelle who is also quite tall so they are very similar you see.

He needs to go out on loan really

Agree. IMO was pushed into the first team a little too soon last year. Needs to refine his game and score some goals before threatening to get a start at PL level.

He has some great attributes, very raw, but I don't see many scenarios where he could play instead of Pelle without seriously weakening us.

Plus has been out injured for months, will need quite a number of U21s games before being anywhere near sharp enough.

Couldn't disagree less. Would give pelle a rest and I think we'd have gone they in cup if he's played.

So you agree? I'm confused!

He could be a good PL striker, but not yet. And certainly not straight after missing months through injury.

You sure Sam was at the O2? Lou Gallagher (is that his GF?) was there for the Queen/Lambert gig, Sam retweeted her tweet on Twitter, but there is nothing to suggest Sam was there himself. In any case, if he was there so what? I guess this is just Art making up things about people he does not like, a la Schneiderlin, again.

Disagree. Think you will find he likes Schneiderlin and his long fingers an unhealthy amount.

Irrevelant how I know but trust me he is on the verge of coming back to playing and that is good news because we are stretched at the moment

I guess you have not read his recent posts about Morgan blackmailing the club etc etc.

Yup, this

We need backup for Pellè, but Sam isnt that man yet

Fingers crossed for him, understand he's had a difficult time but is nearly there. Good luck to him, alongside the other academy lads he underpins just how well our infrastructure and ethos is functioning.

I'd have thought training with world class coaches in one of the best academies in Europe would be more beneficial to Gallagher than playing League 1 football and getting battered on pitches used more for rugby.

Looking forward to seeing him back, seem to remember he had very good movement off the ball even if his shooting left something to be desired.

Matt Patterson v2015.

Not sure they're comparable... Gallagher has a goal in the PL and held his own against Arsenal, Paterson is playing (albeit very well) for Gosport Borough.
