Saxon Posted 17 January, 2015 Posted 17 January, 2015 Nailed on surely. Arsenal Home, Utd away, Newcastle away, all whilst conceding 1 goal and scoring 5. Plus no other team has won three this month.
nta786 Posted 18 January, 2015 Posted 18 January, 2015 He should get it, definitely! Absolutely outstanding, and would be his second this season!!! Id say second place would be Pardew, only cos he got them two wins loool, from his two games...
SNSUN Posted 18 January, 2015 Posted 18 January, 2015 Does the fact that our Swansea match is on the first and most other games are the 31st mean it could count against Koeman? Palace in particular play on the 31st in a winnable game against Everton...
Saint Martini Posted 18 January, 2015 Posted 18 January, 2015 Does the fact that our Swansea match is on the first and most other games are the 31st mean it could count against Koeman? Palace in particular play on the 31st in a winnable game against Everton... Pardew wasn't the manager for their draw against Villa setup he could get 9 points out of 9 with a win against Everton. But somehow winning against Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle should trump beating Burnley, Spurs and (potentially) Everton. The same could be said for Pulis if he gets two more wins against Everton and Spurs. He wasn't on the bench for their match on the 1st and won last week against Hull. It's not in the bag yet but both Pulis and Pardew need to win and do it convincingly to give themselves a chance in my opinion.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 18 January, 2015 Posted 18 January, 2015 if he gets us top six,he should be manager of the season after the meltdown everyone predicted
trousers Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC BREAKING: #SaintsFC's @RonaldKoeman is one of four bosses nominated for January's #BPL Manager of the Month Award. José Fonte is on the six-man shortlist for January's #BPL Player of the Month Award. #saintsfc
Saint_Ash Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 Kane 5 goals in Jan will win it for him. Spurs won 3 and lost 1 but included a 5-3 against Chelsea. We played 3 and won them all including Arse at home and United away. Koeman for the manager of the month for me but I expect them to give it to Poch as Koeman has already won it.
Coxford_lou Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 I was admiring how stylish Koeman was looking last night. I think he deserves a win just on his fashion sense!
NickG Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 Is it just league? If so spurs; Beat Chelsea 5-3 home Lost away palace 2-1 Beat Sunderland home 2-1 Beat wba 3-0 away Ours victories against arsenal, Newcastle, man u, 5 scored, 1 conceded
shurlock Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 (edited) I was admiring how stylish Koeman was looking last night. I think he deserves a win just on his fashion sense! To each their own, i guess. Edited 12 February, 2015 by shurlock
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 To each their own, i guess. Is he actually wearing a Stone Island jumper?
shurlock Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 Is he actually wearing a Stone Island jumper? I have neither the technical prowess nor the imagination to photoshop anything.
Coxford_lou Posted 12 February, 2015 Posted 12 February, 2015 To each their own, i guess. He's taken it up a notch since joining Southampton. Probably because he felt the pressure of being surrounded by the locals of what is a city of renowned fashionistas.
AdrianC Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Good for him and the team! Was dreading seeing Pochettino's smug face holding it.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 (edited) Ronald Koeman becomes the second Saints manager to win two 'Manager of the Month' awards in the same season - who was the first? (Bonus points for the season) Edited 13 February, 2015 by Saint-Armstrong
Saint Garrett Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Ronald Koeman becomes the second Saints manager to win two 'Manager of the Month' awards in the same season - who was the first? (Bonus points for the season) Ferguson 2007/08 Pellegrini 2013/14 Oooo, you said Saints managers....no idea. Redknapp? Strachan 02/03?
Coldridge Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Ferguson 2007/08 Pellegrini 2013/14 Read the question!
Saint-Armstrong Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Ferguson 2007/08 Pellegrini 2013/14 I feel like you've not entirely understood the question...
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 I have neither the technical prowess nor the imagination to photoshop anything. Haha sorry not implying you did. I was reading on my phone, and the image was pretty small. Oh Ron, I'm disappointed. But I don't really care how the bloke dresses, just keep on doing what you are doing big man.
the saint in winchester Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Not sure about that line "starting to scare big teams". Appreciate English not his primary language - maybe "starting to gain the respect of big teams" would be better. We don't scare anyone, just that other teams seeing getting a point against us now as a good result. Two seasons ago, anything less than a win against us was seen as "dropping points". We have gained their respect, and that's a good place to be.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Brilliant from Ronald. https://audioboom.com/boos/2891049-listen-saintsfc-boss-ronaldkoeman-shares-a-joke-with-bigadamsport-about-winning-january-manager-of-the-month
jawillwill Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 EVERY TIME Koeman has won Manager if the Month while at Southampton we have won the following home game 8-0. Watch out Liverpool!

Big Ron fan Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Ronald Koeman becomes the second Saints manager to win two 'Manager of the Month' awards in the same season - who was the first? (Bonus points for the season) Souness 96/97
Saint-Armstrong Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Souness 96/97 Bingo! Only other Saints manager to win it twice was Strachan (01/02 season - 02/03 season)
Bearsy Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 EVERY TIME Koeman has won Manager of the Month, we have won the following home game 8-0.
eelpie Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 I think that ex-Saint Pardew will win MOTM because he has revived a moribund Palarse, and beaten our contender too.
Sour Mash Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 I think that ex-Saint Pardew will win MOTM because he has revived a moribund Palarse, and beaten our contender too. Koeman has already won it?
S-Clarke Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 I think that ex-Saint Pardew will win MOTM because he has revived a moribund Palarse, and beaten our contender too. Given that Pardew wasn't shortlisted and that Koeman won it today, I doubt it.

eelpie Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 I think that ex-Saint Pardew will win MOTM because he has revived a moribund Palarse, and beaten our contender too. I was of course referring to March MOTM
hasper57saint Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Well done Ronald, the Team and the Backroom Staff.Lets now go on and humiliate the 'Defectors'.
Charlie Wayman Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Twice in one season, unbelievable. Just sign that 10-year contract Ron! Send for the Sculptor.
Pancake Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 I was of course referring to March MOTM Feb?
shurlock Posted 13 February, 2015 Posted 13 February, 2015 Brilliant from Ronald. https://audioboom.com/boos/2891049-listen-saintsfc-boss-ronaldkoeman-shares-a-joke-with-bigadamsport-about-winning-january-manager-of-the-month Love it - just imagine if the shoe was on the other foot and Blackmore had tried to crack that joke with Pochettino.
trousers Posted 1 April, 2015 Posted 1 April, 2015 Nominated again for March.... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/12865392.Koeman_nominated_for_manager_of_the_month___again_/
SNSUN Posted 1 April, 2015 Posted 1 April, 2015 I'd love Koeman to get a third but IMO it's nailed on for van Gaal. All victories and against near rivals in the league too. Sherwood has revived Villa, but a convincing win against a crap Sunderland isn't enough, I reckon.
